A teenage boy's dream...
So, my husband found this at WM for $2 and since I'm taking 3 teenage boys across the state to visit family and leaving him home alone, I figured I'd buy another to take with us.This is the witchcraft. Plain and simple. It takes about 6 minutes in our microwave, but still, 6 minutes for mac and cheese? As I mentioned above, I have THREE TEENAGE BOYS and they eat. A lot. ALL. THE. TIME. This make feeding them cheap and easy because they can make it themselves. I buy the cheap stuff from WM and they plow through it. The only warning I have is be prepared to go through a lot of margarine. Small tradeoff. Seriously. I love this thing. Apparently they can make ramen in this as well but they already got some sort of Keurig system they've come up with on their own.*My kids still eat fresh fruits and veggies and get a home cooked meal every night for those quietly judging me.*

Rapid Brands don't know what they stumbled onto with this. Not just for macaroni!
First off: I refuse to call this product the Rapid Mac, because to do so would be a disservice to how useful and versatile this thing really is. I've done some experimenting and I found that this product can make pretty much any pre-packaged rice/pasta dinner box you can think of in the microwave. Rice-A-Roni? A whole box in just ten minutes. Pasta Roni? Takes some care, but if you're patient enough to mind the microwave, you'll have saved yourself an extra dirty pot. Knorr sides? Yes, yes, and yes. Add some meat/veg, wrap it up, and you got yourself a couple of meals for later.I know it's essentially just a plastic bowl, but it's the best made plastic bowl I've ever bought. 11/10 with rice, and other stuff as well.

Necessity for crowded kitchens
Living with a lot of roomates discouraged me from cooking in the kitchen because its always so cramped or dirty so anything that i can make in my room with a microwave is a lifesaver for me and this really helps. Ive used it for salads because its deep and durable. Ive cooked macaroni, penne, and bowties in a third of the time id spend boiling water on a stove and making pasta that way. And this also works great with those little Knorr pasta sides. It's also ridiculously easy to clean. I fell asleep and forgot to wash out the cheese and pasta that hardened overnight and it took like 2 seconds of rinsing and scrubbing for everything to come out.

Great for Ramen and Mac and Cheese
I love Ramen, it’s my lunch almost everyday. I always eat fresh vegetables with my ramen. This workes great for that! I put my vegetables and seasoning in the cooker. Filled with water till the line. Microwaved it for 4 minutes. Added the ramen, cooked for 1 minute. Added broccoli, then cooked it for another two minutes. It came out exactly the way I like it. It’s great for Mac and cheese too, but I microwave it for an additional minute.

We have 3 of these!
These are great! With 2 toddlers in the house, these get used a lot. I like how the handles stay cool enogh to grab right from the microwave, and they are super easy to clean. Their size makes it easy to add mix-ins (broccoli/peas/hotdogs/etc.) right in the cooker before transferring to bowls. We have a lower wattage microwave (900W) so I have to adjust times (see below), but I love not having to worry about a boiling pot while trying to wash little hands and get them set up in their chairs at the table. I like my pasta al dente but the family likes theirs softer, so my husband increases time/water more than I do.Normal noodles: water = water line, time = 3min-stir-3minShells: water = water line, time = 4min-stir-4minShapes: water = slightly less than water line (otherwise, I advise draining), time = 4min-stir4minOverall I recommend this product. Hope this helps!

Try it a few times first..
Note: one of the pics for this product shows TWO cookers. (or at least at time of review, even the pic on my order status was two cookers) but only one came. Seems pricey for just one.. I got two ramen cookers for almost half the cost here on amazon, just sayin..Pics order: First should be the prep before adding water and nuking. Second will be added water for first 2minute 30sec nuke. Then 3rd pic should be the POST 2m30s nuke when I stirred it as directed. 4th pic is AFTER the second nuking for 2mins. Blech. Last pic is finished product from my first try. Tasted better than it looked at least.. but still a tiiiiiny bit too chewy so next time I'll nuke it slightly longer or at least let the first nuke go longer or rest a lil longer before second nuke.My first attempt went poorly. (will add pics soon) Can't promise it's not my fault tho, as I didn't follow instructions precisely. I added cold water to the line, as told.. but then I stirred the noodles a bit. After doing that, I noticed the water was SUPER murky, so I drained it and re added cold water to the line. First 2:30 nuking time went great. Pulled out the tub and stirred meticulously and broke up EVERY bunched up group of noodles stuck together. Carefully put tub back in microwave and set it for 2:00. When i opened the microwave again, it was messy. Not only had it bubbled over (even tho I added EXACTLY the amount of water indicated) but the water bubbled over AND brought with it a super nasty mucus (I'm guessing its' from the noodles "starch" dusting they use on the raw noodles) And even after that, i still kept on trying!I added the melted butter and "cheese" powder, then milk and stirred it up. It looked nasty. BUT, it eventually began to resemble mac n cheese! Unfortunately, in the end, I feel like I'll probably not use it unless I'm craving mac n chz and want it faster, in which case I'll need to put the tub IN or ON something to catch any run off.. But for better tasting/texture, I'll likely stick to the "20" minutes method.TL;DR? - Pros: fast. Easy. Cons: Needs individual adjustments to time/water depending on you and your microwave. This is a great product for the NON PICKY type who just want the food in them asap, and aren't overly sensitive about perfect textures etc.

Quite Disappointing
Still faster than boiling water but don't believe the hype. The pasta always comes out hard despite having to put it back in for an additional two or three minutes to cook (I like al dente pasta but this is half way there at best). When you fill the water to the line according to the instructions, it's gone well before the 4.5 min suggested cook time is up, which is funny because with my 1000w microwave on high the water doesn't even start boiling until after you've taken it out and stirred it at the 2.5 min mark. If you add even just a bit more water to compensate, it boils over the sides and makes a starchy mess in the microwave. Not worth even half of what they cost.Would not buy again.

They are pricey. Wish there's at least a lid cover.
Silly me, I didn't read prior to ordering. I thought I got myself instant Mac&Cheese. To my amazement, they were just 2 plastics which I do not need. (They didn't come in boxes, but it's ok.) I was like, where's the macaroni? I wish I could return them cos I do not wanna use plastic stuff. They remind me of empty ice cream containers and flower pots.

Works great and taste just like stove top method
Bought this for my son and granddaughter and they absolutely love it. She is only 3 and she hates waiting for the Mac and cheese to be done cause you know, it takes forever not. But with this rapid cooker, she loves how fast It takes and my son says it taste the same as stove top method. And works great for ramen too.

Luxurious
Witchcraft doesn’t go far enough to explain the power. How does this work? I need a scientist to explain this to me. While I’m eating. 5 stars.
