Yes for sticky paint, not so much for hard paint
I’m new to detailing and after lots of time researching detailing I decided to give it a try. just my luck the first thing I started detailing on last week was my 1989 ford van in hopes to restore it. Im using griots fast correcting cream with microfiber pads which worked very well to remove the severely defected paint. Had to do small 1’x1’ sections because the paint is so soft it would clog up the microfiber pad super fast. Microfiber need to be clean more frequently than foam in order to work well or the performance can be drastically reduced. I moved on to meguire m205 polish because it’s affordable. This is where the issues started. No matter what I would do, the m205 would dry up and be nearly impossible to take off without an IPA solution. I tried everything from using less product, using more product, printing pad with product before use, changing DA speeds and pressures. No matter what variables I changed after just one pass in a small section it would dry up. Thought I’d mention I was working out of direct sunlight in 70 degree weather. Anyways, after doing more research I learned what sticky soft paint is the hard way. So I used water to spritz the pad and and area to get a longer working time. The amount of water that was needed to actually allow me do do 3 passes successfully with m205 was so much water that it took forever to wipe of excess moisture with a microfiber towel. Plus my microfiber towel was now slightly damp from cleaning the product and water which is not efficient in the long run as it makes the future panels wet . Plus I have to constantly change towels. I needed a better way so I went with meguries detailing spray and it helped a it better cause it has a slight lubrication feel between the fingers. At the same time I pulled the trigger on ordering the chemical guys pad conditioner a bit skeptical as I read on forums that pad conditioner is just a rebranded typical detailing spray and a waste of money. I received the conditioner today and there is a noticeable difference in lubrication when I rub the pad conditioner liquid between my fingers compared to the meguire detailing spray. Would I recommend the pad conditioning spray? Yes I would if u have very difficult sticky paint that needs that extra lubrication to give products like m205 (or m105) longer working time. If u have hard paint I recommend using just a spritz or two of water or meguires detailing spray and u will be just fine.

Must buy if you care about your car
This product really dressed the pad and prevent burning marks on the finish, the conditioner spread the polishing solution evenly and prolongs the life of the pad. A must have in your detailing box

Just a spray
Owns a detailing business for several years and quality foam pads lasted months when treated correctly. This is the first time using a Pad Lubricant/Conditioner. It really doesn't seem to do anything. Glad it was part of the combo. I won't be purchasing it when the bottle is gone

Great Products- East Scuff Removal
Excellent product - Worked well! Bought to try and remove couple of scuff marks apparently from a car wash. Scuffed marks were on both sides of truck - also purchased the companion Chemical Guys Polishing Pad Conditioner- strongly suggest both as was very easy to use and an old model dual action buffing / polisher worked terrific... needs no heavy pressure when buffing!!About 15 minutes each side and scuffs virtually gone - maybe needs just bit more work to totally remove - but looks great! Added a coat of Zymol wax & looks brand new! Neighbor had a deep scratch worked on his & got his about 80% better the deepest part of scratch was slightly visible but made the rest almost invisible without a very hard look in the previously damaged area.Works as advertised! Video on YouTube was helpful just scan code on back of Scratch & Swirl Remover bottle! Very Happy Buyer!

Good but not essential
I'm a fan of Chemical Guys products, but I confess that this one seems extremely close to the Clay Luber. I've used their Clay Luber to premoisten my buffing pads before applying the polish or compound with great success, so I thought I'd try their Pad Conditioner. I honestly cannot tell the difference between the two, so if you already have the Clay Luber, you may not need this.

Works good
Wasn’t happy with the quality control. The lid wasn’t on very tight and liquid had leaked out prior to shipping as it had already dried and crystallized
