Is transporting butter a burden in your house?? Are you always dropping sticks of butter trying to set them out? Well struggle no more! "Easy to move it to the dinner tabl!"Love the description...Guys, it's a butter dish. It does everything I'd expect a butter dish to do. Like hold a stick of butter. No complaints.

Goodness, it is hard to imagine having to return a butter dish; but that is what I will do with this one tomorrow. One side of the top was bowed outward and the top was not flat to the bottom such that the top rocked when situated on the bottom. (Problem with the clay during forming or firing.) Another problem was that glaze was missing from edges of the top portion. Finally, for those not paying attention to the (accurate) dimensions shown on the listing, this thing is huge relative to a stick of American supermarket butter. The butter stick outlined length is about 1 2/3 sticks of butter and the width is about 1 1/2 sticks of butter. The fifth photo of the listing does not show this problem accurately; the sixth photo shows the size problem more accurately. And it appears that the seventh photo attempts to hide the problem by showing a photoshopped version of butter that is the color of cheese, not butter.

I needed to replace a butter dish that didn't have a handle on top. I appreciate that this one is easy to open even when kids make it slippery with butter. It also holds a full stick so I don't have to cut them in half anymore. It looks nice on the counter top and stays clean longer than our previous dish. I like it a lot.

We go through butter very quickly in our household, so after opening, it never again sees the inside of the fridge. Our old butter dish had no lid, and the butter often looked a little casual, to say the least. It was also subject to other foods getting spattered on it, or--God forbid--the odd fly. With this simple, sturdy dish-with-lid, our butter gets to stay hidden and safe from contaminants like my incessant counter spraying! Nice product.

I ordered this last second for my Friendsgiving and I am VERY happy with the quality of this butter dish! It was well made and exactly what I needed! I have been using this ever since.
