Opened the box and there's almost nothing to assemble; the casters are already attached, so you simply slide in the hydraulic post and pop on the seat....Voila! I'm using this at a retail store to sit on when working on lower shelves. With a linoleum floor the casters don't make much noise at all. Seems sturdy enough. The seat material seems okay, but probably wouldn't last as long as some of the more expensive stools.
