Nullspot the destroyer
Is nullspot the destroyer gone for good? I hope not book 10 was a peek into zed and murphys possible future,I would recommend people reading the highs and lows of the story ,it's more than binge worthy I re read the complete series of books and always find something new,PLEASE don't let this be the end of the adventure ,A series of books that will take you to the places in your mind where you can almost smell the setting, and you find you end up being part of the journey and not just being the reader

Best of the series.
I’ve enjoyed every book in this series. The characters have depth and although they differ in characters, the likeable ones are extremely likeable and the bad ones are complex and distasteful. The plot isn’t your average zombie horror story, it’s well thought out, thought provoking, believable, and in this book particularly it is full of twists and new ideas.Bobby Adair is on a par with the best selling authors that I read and better than some of the best sellers that you’ll regularly see on bookshop shelves. I look forward to trying a different series of his.

A worthy 10th book
I enjoyed this as much as 1-9, Zed and Murphy are great characters. I wonder if we'll see a number 11? I certainly hope do!

Zed Zane and s at it again
I never thought there would ever be a book 10 but here we are and it doesn't disappoint. Zed goes from being comfortable to being thrown into chaos and through noit the book we see him overcome the odds but suffer in the process. We'll written as always

Definitely worth the wait
So good to have Zed and Murphy back. Within the first page we are brought right back into the rhythm of their brotherly relationship, the humour doesn't miss a beat. This is book 10 of the Slow Burn series, I absolutely advise you read the other 9 before starting this one. Null Spot is back to save the day in a crazy, apocalyptic world - full of manic zombies - yet the humans are his biggest danger. A fast paced, excellent read which explores humanity's best and worst instincts through Zed, Murphy and their loves, losses and on going fight to survive in a world where they don't quite fit into either human society or the wild & savage life of the Whites.

Welcome back Zed!!
It was a excellent nine book series and I savored every page. To have this tenth addition was fantastic, a bit like going home after a long absence. I truly missed Zed's sarcastic wit. Mr. Adair, I certainly hope you put forward the effort for at least one more. There is a wide open future now for these characters that needs to be explored and please, no five year hiatus this time!!

Nicely done
I can't believe it's been 5 years. Flash backs of the previous booked zapped past my memory as I read & remembered the previous books. Looks like Bobby has opened the door to a new series. Bring it on.

Unexpected but well worth the wait
Being a long time fan of this series, ever since the first one came out, I was ecstatic to finally get the chance to read the conclusion to the overarching story of the characters I had grown to enjoy so much. However upon completion I found myself with mixed feelings.***SPOILERS AHEAD***I feel like there was potential that might not have been completed considered or investigated. The book more or less begins with an assault on Bahlmoria by a religious zealot. The leader of said group drops a bombshell, showing proof the infected can regenerate limbs, and later in the book, the hint of immortality is presented (suggesting that the infected, including slow burns, could potentially live forever) this throws a huge monkey wrench in the fact that throughout the series, the protagonists assumed they'd be able to outlive the threat of the zombies given enough time. The book quickly takes a U-turn from what you're already beginning to think will happen and brings in another adversary in the form of an organized army of whites. The next multiple chapters are mostly Zed working his way through imprisonment, not fully understanding the situation he was really in. I personally wanted to know everything about where Zed was at and the full disclosure behind where the protagonists were and what they were dealing with in this new, vast settlement. The book seems to drag for a little bit, but answers eventually come. Zed decides, like he already had from the beginning, the place he's in sucks and he wants out.By this point in the book, there was maybe 40-50 pages left. I thought to myself "Is there enough time for Zed to cook up a plan and see it through?" There was a start and stop, then some more dirty details about the settlement that was previously unknown. Zed does come up with another plan, that falls apart quickly (like usual) and he's forced into his strong suit, improvisation.Zed does gather his remaining friends, and manages a hasty escape through a hostage exchange of sorts. This whole scenario seemed very un-Zed like. He was supposed to be Null Spot the destroyer. The one who burns the whole place down and kills everyone on the way out.I internally wondered if this was a bit of character development for Zed. He had his friends and lover and just wanted freedom, which he does get.The book wraps up pretty quickly and doesn't set up a happily ever after scenario that I wanted for Zed no where near as much as #9 did. It ends rather ambiguously still with the suggestion that the slow burns have won the genetic lottery and have the potential to live forever. That brings up alot of questions. Will the infected be a constant threat until they are all eventually killed? Is it truly possible our well loved protagonists are immortal? What's in the future for them seeing as their final circumstances are by no means set in stone or even moderately long term?In the end what I feel like most is I'm upset about the bittersweet conclusion of this literary journey. I've grown to love reading about these characters and all the virus-fueled hijinks they get tangled up in, walking out virtually unscathed. The book ends with the tantalizing prospect, that the infamous duo of Zed and Murphy could live forever. There was a chance Zed could have took charge of something bigger than himself in New Tejas(something I feel his ego desperately desired) which doesn't happen. Then a potential possibility, like in one of the previous books, that they would go out and become undercover zombie exterminators, utilizing their white camouflage to rid the planet of the filth they despised throughout numerous books. The book abruptly ends with a so many different possibilities it leaves me wanting more, just like the ones before it.In the end, I thoroughly enjoyed the book and my only true complaint as I read through was knowing that when I got to the end, it would be the end of the characters I as a reader have grown with.My final words are a huge thanks to Mr. Adair for concocting a pulse pounding, expansive series that I have enjoyed so much!!
