After a lot of research, I purchased this which I found to be excellent and cheap and recommend it. It has a 3.0 mm tip rather than 3.9mm or larger of others, which another reviewer mentions makes a big difference. Although not mentioned in the product description, it keeps the image the right way up regardless of how you rotate it, which is excellent. It comes with a couple of silicone specula (also not shown or mentioned on product information) to help you not push it too far into the ear, which I think is very important to have. Picture quality is good although frame-rate slows or freezes momentarily on a regular basis for me (perhaps I was near some interference) but this was annoying but not a huge issue. Can get blurry at times, but a quick wipe of the tip fixes this. The app worked fine on my android phone and I did not find the concerning issues mentioned by some reviews of the app on the play store. I would not use it or the implements that come with it for digging at wax, as experts say that this can be harmful and unsafe, but found it great for alternating between taking a look with this and then getting the wax out with the Simnoble Electric Ear Cleaner Earwax Removal Kit from Amazon UK (Link below). I have very narrow ear canals and get problems when my ears get wet. The vacuum seems excellent for drying them out. It was easy to set up and it comes with a wide variety of tools. The quality of the camera is quite good but it does go blurry sometimes. Thanks to the camera I discovered I have quite a large earwax plug in my ear and now after using a syringe it's finally out! However, I find it impossible to use one of the tools and having the camera in at the same time, so it's basically checking in with the camera and then going blind with the tool. I might need some more practice though, today is the first time I've used it. The little caps help a bit but due to the scoop length the camera is actually further out of the ear.. It's difficult to explain.. so you can't really see what you're doing either. I managed to clean the ear a bit but as I said I had to use the syringe with saline water to remove the wax plug.Anyway, the cost of the camera and a syringe was less than a visit to a specialist and I can use it many, many times. It's also fun for my son to be able to see things up close thanks to it. He checked on his lego blocks and computer parts with it. It's a great educational tool, a bit like a microscope

I got this as a present for my spouse as his ears don't seem to expel ear wax correctly, amongst other issues, and have generally been a source of discomfort for years. Lately the wax was really starting to affect his hearing too. And what a gift it turned out to be! He was able to really clear them out (carefully and spaced out over the course of a couple weeks), first restoring stereo hearing, and then also curing his tinnitus! He's delighted with the product, delighted with not needing to try to get an ENT referral, delighted to be rid of the tinnitus, and I am delighted that my simple £26 purchase has helped SO much. (I'm also reliably informed by him that as an otoscopic device in general, it's much easier to use than the traditional type. For a start, he can use it on himself!)

Downloaded the app and it quickly connected to the Octoscope. Using the correct attachment you can use the octoscope. I could see the status of the ear. There are several attachments supplied, like for ear wax remover, etc., but my main requirement was to look into the ear more closely. The picture quality is great.Although this is used for personal use, doesn't mean it can't be used by professionals like in doctors surgery, etc., but of course the attachments need to be well sterilised, especially in the covid-19 pandemic.Definitely worth a buy as an additional to the home medical kit.

Disappointing Christmas gift... Doesn't work.. App is dodgy!!!! Complete waste of money! DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME ON THIS!!!!!!!!Husband was not happy with this at all!

This provides good picture quality and easy setup, but the tools do nothing to remove any wax.

Due to the price compared to others, I was unsure of the quality of the product, I was pleased to be wrong. Camera very clear, the connectors and accessories are well made, and the app is great idiot proof!Only thing is the lack of instructions, we used a popular search engine to find out how to used one of these safely - it’s going into an ear, I seemed obvious but wanted clarity more than anything.Definitely recommend!
