Don’t pay a pool company to replace this! My pool filter is in its 9th summer in Texas. The filter housing base developed a crack and I knew it had to be replaced. I found this and bought and I am SO GLAD I did. It fit my quad de filter perfectly with the old lid and o-ring. I took the opportunity to clean the cartridges but the install itself takes about a half hour. Make sure to have some silicone grease for the o-rings on the inlet and outlet pipes and have some pvc plumbing thread sealant for the new threads, but that’s all you need with your tools and you’ll be thrilled you didn’t pay someone to do this. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Same as other reviews although our original lasted longer. Had two cracks in the ribbed part of the lower. Great price to be able to replace the lower assembly and not the entire unit.Fast shipping from vendor and solid product.

Perfect replacement for the 19 year old unit that cracked .

I had a crack in the lower unit (6 years old) and really didn't want to pay for a brand new unit. I tried dang near everything to patch the crack but with no success. I guess the pressure alongside the pressure build-up was too much for my failed attempts (epoxy, fiberglass boat repair kit, heavy duty window tape, combination of everything). I was happy to see that they sell individual parts. Make sure you are replacing the same model number so all of the inlets match up. Once received, it was super easy to install. Very happy with purchase.

Fits the 520 top well. When you order probably need some new o-rings where the pool piping attaches go the front of the bottom.

The replacement base is larger than the original. It’s just enough that the top won’t go on and clamp up properly. I tried to make it work and ended up with a massive blowout on the o-ring. Not sure if Pentair changed the mfg spec but it’s not good enough. Going to buy a new top and see if that works but I may as well have bought a whole new unit vs buying just the parts.
