I hate charging my watch. The charge cord needs to be put level on something, sometimes it doesnt charge. I literally just grabbed this from the mailbox, it's awesome, I'm so happy. Dumb watch isn't just laying on it's side, I can actually look at the time and now it has a permanent home (no more "where'd I put it"). Best watch I've ever had, but charging is a PITA. Love this thing, 5 stars. Bet.

I was very impressed with the design and so far the quality of the charging stand. It keeps the watch from laying on its face or side because the Garmin charger cord constantly pops out from the port. Plugging the D2 Mach 1 into it was a simple process of lining up the ports and pressing it onto the stand, it locked on positively and seems very secure. It also frees up space on my desk and I feel it can be used now as a travel alarm/watch stand/ clock. All in all so far impressed as long as the charging function holds up. For 10 bucks its a steal , maybe Garmin should offer this with their watches!

It's solid and stable, and charges well. However the Garmins have to be plugged in and not magnetically mounted like all other watches, so you have to push the watch down onto the ring and pull it back apart afterward. The mount does an excellent job all things considered.

Stopped charging! Post mortem: just not durable with one bad pin. There are three screws on the back of the plastic section that rotates. Upon opening it, was also discovered that there isn't a Smart IC inside as shown on the product photos and in the description. The four pins are simply soldered on a simple circuit board that connects to the four wires soldered on the other side of that board. Not that it really matters but that is a deceptive description. The stand is good and was reused by mounting a new and better quality connector on it.

high quality, good product and works with Epix gen 2.Please ensure to connect with the proper voltage usb port in you PC. Charging will work at low voltage but will not show up in Garmin connect.
