Amazing job repelling biting insects without repelling family!
Tried a few of these types of devices in the past (the last one, a thermal butane-powered unit worked reasonably well but put out quite a bit of smoky smell. ) Saw a new recommendation by Wirecutter and figured this one was worth a try as my wife especially is constantly attracting mosquitoes and gnats enough to avoid outside at dusk. This one works wonderfully, no smell! The refillable solution lasts quite a long time, and the USB rechargeable battery in the unit is very convenient. And no butane burn or fuel to worry about! A great value, and it really does seem to put up a shield around us (as long as we're not in a large outdoor crowd where others nearby are attracting as well!)

Too expensive for what you get.
The repellent solution that came with the thermacell was only a quater of the way filled. The price for refills are so expensive they should be filled all the way
