SimthreadEmbroidery Thread with Storage Box, 800 Yards Snap Spools 9 Brown Colors for Embroidery and Sewing Machine

I have been using mostly Madeira thread for years. I saw this thread, and was a bit hesitant to try it, but the price was excellent, so I took a chance and have been very impressed! It sews easily with no breakage and the results are beautiful.Cons: The collection doesn't give an even range of colors. There are many lovely shades of greens and blues, but not many in the red palette. And I think you can only buy their threads in collections, not replace individual colors. However I do not regret my purchase.

The other thread I bought broke and shredded easily but this thread rarely breaks. Super pleased. The colors turn out bright and shiny.

Nice colors but I couldn’t find any variegated colors that it said was included.

Simthread is not in the design/thred data base. database. IF you are doing a design program, plan on spending HOURS looking for similar colors if starting with Simthread. The 120 colors that I bought are going to the “close; but no cigar” file, and used for test stitching on new fabrics only, not for product going to customers.

Great pack for a variety of colors, especially for the price. Colors are vibrant, stitched out great, and ironed beautifully on my completed project. Spool is wound backwards for how my machine is supposed to be threaded, but they still worked with my Brother Innovis 3500d. Spool is 800 yards vs the 1000 yards you usually get at a speciality shop, so slightly smaller but still plenty of thread.

These colors of this variegated metallic thread are gorgeous. The nine colors come in a nice plastic box that can be repurposed for other things later on. I love Simthread - my Brother machines do well with this thread. I was pleasantly surprised to find the variegated metallic threads. The threads come on snap spools where the ends of the threads aren't hanging loose, but are held tightly in the bottom of the spool. I love this feature. Simthread sends you directions for using the metallic threads, and you can email them if you happen to have any problems. They also have a Facebook group that is full of good information as you can read about others and their experiences for great ideas and problem solving. I will be buying more Simthread in the future.

The thread seems really good, but the little box it came in wasn't even really big enough to hold the thread. The snap bases are too wide for this box.

I’m new to metallic threads, so I figured I’d give these a try since I love using Simthread embroidery threads. This was my second ever freestanding lace project and, besides a few thread breaks (user issues and it got caught up in the bottom of the thread net) and one thread shred, it stitched out beautifully! I did have to babysit my machine while this was stitching out, only because I’m new to metallic thread and need to figure out the best way to use it for my machine. I will definitely buy it again when I run out.Thank you for providing a quality product that I know I can trust to all of my embroidery projects!
