Fine for stowing somewhere they might be needed in a pinch.
These types of stones wear quickly on hard steel, which isn't necessarily bad since it exposes fresh cutting surfaces, but they lack a little in terms of how much metal they can actually move compared to how coarse they feel. These stones are fine and essentially like all the other AO stones of this type that I've used. Keep some in your glove compartment, pack, where ever and they do fine in a pinch. If you want to be more spendy I recommend Norton India stones.

Items received as advertised. BUT found produce significantly cheaper than Amazon.

If you have a knife you need one of these
A dull knife is useless; if you use a knife you have to keep it sharp. There are a range of sharpening solutions available but these stones are among the most useful because of their size and grit: Long enough to hold in hand but small enough to stow in a pocket or bag; coarse enough to restore an edge quickly but hard enough not to wear away quickly. One for the kitchen, one for the tool room, one for the "bug-out bag".

Replacements for lost stones
They were what I was expecting, tracking Wes a little hard to follow but there was free shipping so I can’t complain. All worked out just fine
