Perfect for larger dogs
This was my second times ordering. My big dog actual wore out the first one after several years. First rate quality.

Nice, just not perfect
I love the raised single bowl concept and the overall industrial/ farmhouse look. I don't love the fact that I have to spin the top plate about 6 rotations every single day because it keeps 'unscrewing' itself from the stand. I suppose my dog is causing rotation when she eats and licks her bowl clean. It's not a huge deal, just one minor inconvenience compared to the excellent space-saving feature of this bowl. In the picture, you can see how it tucks away beside our French doors in the right.

Like but
My dogs love these but they are not as well made as my previous ones. One of the new ones isn't even so the bowl constantly wobbles and scares one of my dogs. There is not way to even the metal out, at least not that I know of.

Recommend
I was hesitant to purchase this item because some of the reviews state the bowl did not come with the “barstool diner”; the product description specifically states the bowl is included, so to those people who did/do not get a stainless steel bowl with the stand-CONTACT the seller-because ours did come with the stand, as it should! Love that this stand will grow with our mastiff puppy. The 5 quart bowl adds a couple of inches to the height itself, so we are using our pup’s current bowl and it works great-his current bowl does have a rubber strip around the bottom of it so it does not clatter or move around too much. The stand has a little wobble to it, but my floors are not even and sits perfectly steady; it does not seem easy to knock over-will have to monitor as our pup grows, especially with heightening the stand. The assembly was super easy! Definitely recommend for large breed doggos!

At this price I expected much better quality
After researching many styles of raise bowls I ordered two of these for my mastiffs (each over 150 lbs). The primary reason I chose these was because they were advertised as "heavy" and because they looked solid - these attributes are necessary to keep my big boys from pushing these around while they eat. When I received the boxes I was immediately disappointed. The description shows them as weighing 8 pounds (with a shipping weight of 5.8 pounds?) but they are actually about half that. I had expected the base to be a solid casting but it looked like a sheet metal stamping with a thick steel ring tack welded around the inside rim. (To be fair to the manufacturer, they don't claim that it's cast. That's just what I expected given the weight advertised in the description.)Upon assembly I found (by gouging the palm of my hand) that the flashing had not been trimmed from one of the adjustment knobs. That was because the knob was poorly made - the bolt was not set into the mold properly. It was offset and the flashing was a probably a result of that mis-positioning.Then one of the trays would not thread all the way down into the extension tube. Inspection revealed residual powder paint in the tube's threaded portion that had to be cleaned out.I then found that one of the trays that screws into the extension tube was badly tilted when fully seated. Further examination showed that the threaded stud on the bottom of the tray had not been welded square with the base. There was no evidence that it had been bent during shipping but was simply a poorly done tack weld. Finally, when I placed the bowls in the trays there was a full 3/4" spacing between the bowl and the tray rim. This was much larger than shown in the picture on the web page. This gap allowed the bowl to move around in the tray quite a bit and make a lot of noise as it banged into the rim.Overall, I was very unimpressed with the quality of these items and the inaccurate representation of the product on the Amazon page. I never even bothered to put them to use. They were immediately re-packaged and returned to Amazon for a refund.

Great seller, great product
I have 2 Great Danes who eat separately, but because of them splashing and slobbering, share a water bowl. You can’t believe the difficulty I had retrying to find a single, raised, bowl. This one is perfect. I have it raised to about 2/3 of its height. It is heavy enough that the dogs don’t push it around. The standard XL stainless bowl will fit it (it does not come wth a bowl). The only thing I wish was that it had a couple of holes in the bottom to promote drying of sloshed water. I accommodate that with a few folded paper towels. The seller was great about answering my questions and the shipping was speedy.

Great Dane compatible, space efficient
Were looking for a single feeding station only, as we have a single large bucket for watering many dogs. Each dog needs their own food bowl, and some space from the other dogs who might get ideas. This is perfect, as it is space efficient as it holds a single bowl, we can space them apart as needed, and they are height adjustable to grow as our great danes do. We added a foam liner to sturdy the bowl a bit in the cradle, but the base has been stable enough. First one purchased has worked well, so we will be ordering more.

Wouldnt buy again.
I like the style of the dog fish and adjusts nicely....I suppose I should have looked at the weight of the package because the most disappointing thing was how light the stand was. If you get a dog the pushes their dish around this stand is likely to topple over. I had a friend modify it and add some weight to the base. It also rust without wiping it dry all the time for a water dish. If you buy it add another layer of paint.
