Amazing for puzzle loving kids!
My 3 year old loves puzzles and this is so easy for him to use since he can reference the picture, magnetic is strong and holds pieces easily, and perfect size for travel. Love that it is two puzzles in one compact size. We ended up buying more!

Great airport/ airplane/ hotel toy
I bought 2 of these one for a 3 yr old and one for a 6 yr old. Each one has 2 magnetic puzzles. Pieces are removed to magnetic flap with picture of puzzle and put back on magnetic puzzle area. The puzzle has a handle for carrying. The pieces need to be put back all the way. If they are stacked somehow and not completely replaced into the puzzle space the pieces tend to fall out when the puzzle is carried. This is a great Melissa and Doug toy.

3 yo loves it, but pieces are hard to fit in place
Took this on a flight to Hawaii and my 3yo loved it. Entertaining and durable. My only qualm is that the pieces don’t snap together easily, so that created a bit of frustration for her, but it held her interest. It’s also a bit heavier than I was expecting, but worth it. Overall would recommend for a flight or car ride for a preschooler.

These people think of everything!
I wish they made a million of these! I can only find 3 different kinds. But seriously...I can't see anyone doing it better than Melissa and Doug. Is your kid a puzzle lover? GOOD news, each unit has TWO puzzles. Is your kid a dumper? GOOD news, the reverse sides of the pieces to each puzzle are marked which allows for quick pick ups and you can immediately know which pieces go to which puzzle. Does your kid have the attention span of a GOLDFISH? Good news, the whole thing is basically a magnet, so you won't lose pieces if you lose their attention. Is your child a puzzle WIZARD and finishes them in two seconds? GOOD NEWS....they put a hide and seek list on each puzzle that provides BONUS fun and activities! There is NOTHING better than these at a restaurant because when the food comes, you quick close it up and BAM. Done. I wish they had more...I would buy them all.

Melissa and Doug are slipping
As other reviewers noted, the pieces don’t fit together very easily for little hands. I’ll also note that if all the pieces are magnetized to the opposite page while the child works on the puzzle, the pieces obscure the reference picture which means the pieces have to be removed and can more easily be lost. I also have a gripe with the materials. Melissa and Doug products used to pride themselves on design using natural materials. Giving them a pass on this since it’s hard to imagine a papyrus magnet puzzle that wouldn’t end up being eaten by little kids. But the last bit of fist waving I’ll do is related to the images of one of the puzzles. Princesses. Why is everything princesses?! Trying to raise a daughter over here who doesn’t mind getting a little muddy and knows she can do things for herself and and doesn’t feel like she has to wear pink and who doesn’t expect the world to be a 90’s Disney movie. Not made easier by the images of a bunch of cartoon debutants lounging around in pastel. Do better Melissa and Doug!
