It does what it says in the book
In my opinion, having had 'gallbladder trouble', I now think gallbladder removal is barbaric. As this book says, it can cause even more problems than it solves, especially if you don't alter your diet. Even though I didn't take all of the supplements recommended, the advice still worked wonders. It gave me the courage to believe I could heal myself. The most important thing is to stop eating anything with sugar (soft drinks, cakes, sweets, chocolate, etc) and maintain a wholefood (no white bread, burger buns, rolls, etc) diet. Having had massive gallbladder attacks - vomiting, pain, etc. for several weeks - I am now symptom free after four years. And, I can eat dessert after a well-balanced meal. (Recommendation: read The Saccarine Disease too.) The surgeon and GP are not pleased. In fact, the surgeon's report was very insulting - but then, I suppose I did do him out of his holiday in Tahiti, or maybe the fourth wheel on his Mercedes?

Easy to read, lots of great information that can be put into place immediately too. It’s my go to book for keeping my liver and gall bladder healthy while I wait for surgery

Good Health
I was hoping for more food recipies in this book ,but although there were not many the hints and tips were a great help. This book is well worth the money spent on it, it arrived on time and neatly packaged.

A MUST READ IF YOU HAVE A GALLBLADDER ISSUE
excellent book. Current taking account of up to date information NOT just the usual eat a low fat diet. If you have gall bladder issues or think you may have definitely buy this book. It is balanced informative and I cannot rate it highly enough. I am a nutritional therapist (with a large gallstone) and as a professional I rate this book but its good for a layperson too. I have also read about 5 other books on this subject and this is the best.

Very informative with some useful recipes. However this advice is not supported by my GP so I have to be aware of that when making a decision about keeping my gall bladder.

Very helpful, well written, lots of info!
I've read quite a few natural health books. This is only the second I have taken the time to review. I finished the book in a day. It was well written and easy to understand while still thorough. Some of the suggestions here were recommended to me by a naturopath, but there were new additions. I also like to understand why I am doing something.

As a medical professional, I was surprised at learning some new things
I'm a medical nurse that's struggled with gallbladder issues for quite some time. On top of what I learned in formal education, I've scoured the internet for more information to help my situation with no real avail. This book provided me with some information I was not aware of and ultimately it was quite helpful. I'd definitely recommend it. I'd also recommend going to see a good naturopath with a strong reputation. Gallbladder issues are so unbelievably complex and involve multiple systems in the body.

I love a well thought out unconventional view on something that has become a lazy routine. I'm going to keep my gallbladder for as long as possible and since making many of the recommended changes in Dr Cabot's book my "why don't we remove it" problem gallbladder has been far less reactionary and symptoms have started to fade away. I highly recommend this book and taking the action recommended inside of it...
