I am running this on 2.7 amp load. 12 volt over and under the counter LED tape lights. So the amperage of this unit is way over what I need. But I purchased a 10 amp model and it died after about 2 years. Time will tell if this one holds up. Make sure you look through the metal grate and see if the voltage switch is set correctly. Mine arrived set on 220v. Just reach through the grille with a small screw driver and flip the switch if it is set incorrectly for your wall voltage

Even with power adjust turned up to maximum it only went to 11.57 volts.I needed at least 12.7 volts for the attached appliance to turn on.Also when I received it the PC card was out of it's retention slot with one edge of the board pushed down against the bottom metal case.Fortunately included plastic spacer prevented shorting although I fixed it before I turned it on.Quality control was very bad for letting it through in the first place - it could not have happened because of mishandling in shipping.

Works great.
I use this to power my car amp for a Halloween project. Work great. Only one thing make sure the 120V / 220V switch is all the way over to 120V if you are in the Americas. I flipped it all the way over but apparently not far enough and it was still looking for 220V power. But after I worked it back and forth a few times it locked in place for 120v and has been working perfectly .

larger than the unit that was in the box that had the same stats, but seems to be working well. It got my 16 camera system back up and running, I did have to make it fit in the standard size alarm box as it was too big for that, but it did fit with some extra wiring.

Deceptive Practices BE CAREFULL. Did not get what was advertised!
The product they sent me was not what was described as I ordered. It was a 24v unit not a 12v. They covered the original label that was what was in the box with a new label that follows what was advertised. If I would have hooked this up to the $1500 of stereo equipment I purchased it would have fried everything. It is now to late for me to return this. Just warning people.

Worked for what I needed, but I feel it needs a fan to stay cool. I ended up mounting a PC fan to it to keep it cool since I have it running for long hours.

Great DC supply
Great little power supply. Had a small ding in the chassis which I straightened with pliers. I am using it to power a 25w uhf/vhf tranceiver. Low ripple voltage, great regulation @ 13.8vdc. running an average load when transmitting of approx 4 amps.

Not assembled well
I bought this power supply in January 2021. Upon installation I noticed that one of the screws on the terminal block was missing. Because I needed to install the power supply that day I could not afford to send the unit back to the supplier so I decided to open up the unit just to check that the missing screw was not somewhere inside as it could be dangerous to have a lost screw shorting something out. I could not see it and nothing was rattling so I went ahead and installed the power supply and my security system appeared to be working OK. About 2 months later I realised the power supply was not working. I checked the output and it was delivering 3V rather than the expected 12V. I had to desintall the unit and once again looked inside the unit for any obvious fault. Upon further inspection I discovered the missing screw wedged under the transformer. I removed it and tested the power supply again and now I was getting a 6V output... But not 12V. So this power supply is going in the bin! Rather angry and frustrated that a poor final assembly issue had obviously killed my power supply.

Steer Clear
Considering it only has the China Export logo and has no CE or UL certifications (shouldn't really be sold in the UK) It is not as bad as I expected, I found 3 small solder blobs stuck to the board by Flux Residue and strangely the internal fuse is a T5A (5amp) but the board states it should be a 3 Amp, is this the standard China thing were they had run out and fitted what they had or is this a Technical change for some reason. The Solder blobs were easily removed but they could have caused problems had they come loose... My one recommendation and its a must really is fit a small fly lead between the Earth Tag and the case as it only relies on the base of the board on the standoffs to transfer the earth and as most of these will be exposed I think its a must.UPDATE**** I was initially impressed with the build quality but one I put it under any load (1.6amps) it buzzes like a Bar Steward
