Yes, I think they will! I bought them to protect my dogs eyes while I am driving down the freeway at 70mph. My Black Mouth Cur loves to stick her head out in the slipstream.

What is the lens made of? Does it have a Z87 rating or any other impact rating?.

It says poly carbonate which is the same material that safety glasses are made out of. To be Z87 rated it has to be stamped with a safety stamp and be in a Z87 approved safety frame. Optician here

How much space is between the dog's eyes and the goggle?

The goggles have a padding in the back and are well rounded for space. Our Pit has a large head and they fit really well. The second pair I got from the same cpmpany they look more like pilots goggles but are made of a soft rubber that forms on the face really well. Both sets of goggles have the behind the ear strap and the under the chin, easy adjustments.

We haven't officially tested the sunglasses out on a trail or car ride yet, so my review is based off of first impressions. 1) my dog looks absolutely ADORABLE. 2) he is a large, 110lb GSD and these glasses fit him perfectly. He doesn't really try to get them off or paw at them, so I imagine they will last us a long time. I can't wait to see the reactions people will have to him- he literally looks that cute. I have rarely seen a dog with sunglasses on. I am happy that I will protect his eyes and also bring a smile to someone.
