Excellent particulate filter that I started to use when cutting woods on my mill such as black walnut and eastern red cedar. Now I use it for all woods inside and outside the shop and it has greatly reduced sinus issues associated with these toxic wood. I use it with the 3M Versaflow TR-600 air supplied respirator.

The Best System for Dust, but Not the Best Filter for Vapors
This is a PARTICLE Filter for the TR 600 series, not for fumes and odors.A folded paper filter with no added filtration for molecules. This will remove all virus particles from the air if functioning properly. There are no added carbon granules of other filtration media to keep your 600 unitas light as possible but still not as light as a TR300 model.Generally, the TR 600 was designed with a larger motor to power the organic vapor filter like the 6530N.However the 600 is used in manufacturing as a particle filter to filter things like pharmaceutical dust. This is the filter you see being used in the ICU to remove airborne contagions. So 3M makes this particle filter for the vapor ready system to lower the cost.Bottom line, this is not the best 600 filter, and odors will pass through the filter. The better filter is almost twice the cost.If you don't want to smell any odors, you need the organic filter. The TR 300 series was designed to be lighter and specifically for driving a particulate filter system.I use the TR 300 for filtering dust because it is lighter to wear. This said, I find the 600 with the organic filter to be the system I reach for all the time.
