Fits tight and the plate adjustments work. But the label won’t stay fixed. I would have given it a 5 but I found out the dewalt plate is actually cheaper

I'm hoping this review is on the aluminum version. I originally purchased the plastic plate. Huge error. The plastic version didn't fit well and it is overly flexible which creates dado cut depths that aren't uniform. Buy the aluminum version. Far superior. I still needed to make adjustments on the casting to get a good fit. It needed to have a reinforcing "rib" on underside reduced so the plate could lay flat on the saw table. This process took about ten minutes with a hand file. Works well after minor adjustments.

I had purchased the dado set and needed a wider throat plate for my Dewalt portable table saw (DWE7491RS). This plate appeared to do the job and was the only one that I could find online to fit my saw. HOWEVER, at first glance, the plate seems well made and apparently a good fit. But while using the plate, I could not get it to fit flush with the table saw deck. Comparing the dado plate with the original factory plate, I noticed that the cut out on the left edge is not the same, thus prevently the dado plate from seating properly. Because of the way it is cast, that extra cut out space cannot be ground or filed out. It simply doesn't fit properly. I am surprised that this product made it this far into the market, without any push back from buyers. I've included an image to illustrate the problem. The original plate is on the bottom and the dado plate is on the top. Note the large difference in the side cut out. This is necessary for the plate to seat properly. If you have the same table saw that I have and you need a dado plate, you will have to make it yourself. I'm more than disappointed with this product, since otherwise it seems to be made well enough.

The plate is definitely built heavier than the original plate that came with my dewalt saw I bought this saw new in march 2025 model 7491, two things to keep in mind is you will need to run a tap through the screw adjusting holes before you try and adjust the Plate because of the paint, the tap you need is a M4 x 0.7 to clean up the treads , the other thing is how the plate sets down on the table the fabric on the left side under the plate needs to be pushed down and to the side a little bit, see photos

Fits well but doesn't sit perfectly flat so one must adjust the screws to make it sit lower than the deck a lil bit.
