Osprey Tempest 6 Women's Lumbar Hiking Pack

I just received my osprey waistpack, green, and it is THE only one to buy. Truly. Spot on that it fits a woman’s body. Hands free, no shoulder and neck weight, 2 custom water bottles, AND it is a big fanny pack that stays... on the fanny. I can walk swinging arms, using poles, or casually for beach walks, sometimes very windy here. I love osprey quality, and this one has good pockets, padding, zips, and cinches. My only question will be whether the custom water bottles can be cleaned, will last, or can be replaced at a reasonable $.

I needed something to use daily on hikes with my new puppy. As a type one diabetic, I wanted something I could stuff a bunch of juice, snack, or glucose in plus my supplies, a leash, treats, and some tools in case of encountering traps. This fits the bill! Currently I have water and gatorade in each side plus a pair of wire cutters, zip ties, 2 juice boxes, 3 glucose SOS packets, honey, granola bar, fruit snacks, and shot bloks and the upper half is still open! In the fall I kept my meter and testing supplies in the front pocket. This is an amazing bag and I'm tempted to buy another for a backup. Like I said, DAILY use and it's held up. I love the adjustment straps - fits over my large Carhart jacket perfectly. I even had a juice box explode inside it and the cleanup of sticky, stuck on juice took 3 minutes with none left over and no sticky left on the inside of the pack. Buy this pack! You won't regret it. I hardly even remember I have it on - if you put it in the right spot you hardly notice it.

After so many options and good time shopping for a day hiking pack back. I decided, to try the lumbar pack bag! Best hiking gear I have ever purchased. Very spacious and supportive. It has plenty of room to fit all my daily essentials . The back pockets fits my munch, snack, gloves , etc.. love it .

This is pretty much perfect for my day hikes. Received it this past Friday and used it the first time today. It held the essentials and the water bottles provided held plenty to keep me hydrated on a quick hike on a cold day. I do pack a water filter kit, just in case. The outside straps held the layers I needed to peel off as I started heating up. I'm 5'4" and about 160 and it fit around me just fine. I took one star off because the waist strap is too narrow. I have lower back and hip problems and a thicker strap would distribute the pressure a bit better. I highly recommend this for day hikes. FYI, I typically hike in the boonies where food and water is either with you or your going to go thirsty and hungry unless you have a knowledge of natures edibles.

It’s perfect; exactly what I needed. I had a mastectomy and it made my armpits numb and sore, plus at risk for lymphedema if I were to wear a backpack. I adore hiking and this is so comfortable even when packed with my son’s snacks, both bottles filled and jackets/hats strapped on. Thank you!

My wife has not found a hiking pack that she was happy with until now. She loves the light weight and numerous storage compartments.

I love hiking, but I get swollen palms from regular backpacks. This solved the problem - comfortable and actually fits tons of things. I take extra cloth with me for hike, so the outside loop for jacket is awesome. I like the front mini pocket to fit my phone, sunscreen and lip balm.
