Yes, it comes with both handles.

Looks like a poor design,,,the battery is angled down towards the paint! Anyone have any problems touching the car with the tool?

There is no issue with the battery. It inserts from the top of the tool and doesn't extend bellow what you see in the phot of the tool. It also angles back so it is out of the way of your wrist when holding the tool
