These Flat Hake brushes are budget-grade and shed bristles in use, so if you can tolerate that while working, you’ll be happy with them.If you find that an issue – which I do – buy better ones.

Nice hake brushes
I compared the constrction of these brushes to the one hake brush I got at an art store. Very comparable. I have not used them yet but I am hopeful they will be the same.

Highly recommend for encaustic. I’m a repeat buyer of these brushes because I don’t like to clean them.

Big broad brushes.
I like the design of this and the softness, however the little hairs come off which is not great when using fast drying acrylic paints or encaustic wax. I think watercolor paints would work with these ok.
