These speakers have it all!
Fantastic customer service. Fantastic speakers and sound. I am psyched that these are Made in the USA, are modular/expandable, and from a great company. Not much more that one could ask for.

Great stylish Home Theater setup...sturdy, and look great in Mod motif
I have had this setup since summer of 2006, and have used them practically everyday for hours per day. I could not be happier. Like my headline says they are stylish, both the speakers and the stands that support the Orbs.As for the sound, I think they perform great. This will not serve as an audiophile system as i believe the product description indicates, so do not be fooled...but i have a discerning ear(althouh not an audiophile) and these things flat out rock! I mostly view DVD Blue Ray concerts of classic rock(moody Blues, Yes, Clapton, Grateful Dead, the Band, Dylan, and the excellent new Celebration Day Led Zeppelin) and this sytem never disappoints. I have the system in Family room open to kitchen and breakfast nook, and i have never needed to overtax these speakers to get sound to shake house, and no distortion issues. Some other reviews have said they can sound a little tinny, and given their size and such, yes that can be the case, but with proper amplification and spacing (my main sitting position is 10 feet, it sounds great from kithchen too) the sound and aesthetics are a winning combination...and a sub woofer is a must with any Orb setup IMO.I have them setup with my 48 inch Philips Flatscreen LCD and hooked to a Yamaha Rx-v661 Receiver. I bought direct from Orb Audio, the service was quick and packed perfectly.I am now getting back into record(vinyl collecting) and SACD and Deluxe CD collecting, so I am once again yearning for a 2.1 set up with some nice 3 way floors(negative kudos to my then wife who years ago persuaded me to get rid of my Klipsch and B&Ws...Eeewww, their ugly, blah blah blah) so I am considering selling this setup and return to the good ole floor loud speakers...I have now doubt that these Orbs will sell upon demonstration.Kris

Best sub/sat system I know of
I have owned these speakers for about 8 years now. They are great. I have this same system, but with two orbs for every speaker, including the surrounds. I use white for the fronts and rears and they blend in well with the ceiling where I have them mounted. I upgraded to the copper finish for my center channel, which looks great sitting inside by entertainment center. The speakers sound much bigger than they look. My friend has a comparably priced Bose system and these sound noticeably better. The 8" woofer performs much better than you would expect, but serious bass heads may want to consider opting not to get the sub and spend more money on a bigger, more powerful sub (think SVS, Hsu Research, etc.). But I was literally blow away by how much bass came from this 8" driver and was never disappointed. You can check out a review of this system here - http://www.soundandvision.com/content/orb-audio-peoplersquos-choice-speaker-system.

Up graded my basic my 5.1 to this configuration. Here's my experience in a nut shell.
I recently wrote a review on Orbs 5.1 system and loved it. Decided to up grade to this configuration a nice feature of the Orbs. Was it worth it? Yes and maybe. Liked the increase in efficiency resulting in higher volume levels at lower power setting. Sounded about the same overall in my 20/30+' room. Would I do it again? Probably, because I love the look and the higher efficiency. Noticed in some reviews the revierers felt the speakers sometimes sounded a little tinny. Room acoustics can be a significant factor but I power these speakers with a Marantz 1403 5.1 AV Amp with "room equalization" and feel that is a real plus with small speakers like these. Nothing remotely tinny sounding with my set up just the opposite the sound is rich and dynamic. Get ya' some you will love them especialy if you power them with a Marantz 1403 like mine. I got the Marsntz factory Referb unit and it looks and works like new with a one year factory warrenty and have no regrets.

Yes, Great buy for years to come!!
I was introduced to Orb Audio back in 2009 and have been a big fan every since. Remarkable sound clear and clean. When people hear them they are amazed at the sound from such a small speaker. My friend immediately when out and purchased his system after hearing mine. Coupled with a Denon receiver,it brings forth a concert each time you play your music. The guys at Orb Audio are great to work with, sometimes it may be hard to reach them only because they are talking with another customer. With such knowledgeable audio guys its hard to get off the phone. I believe the term is "Bang for your Buck" Well worth the investment, quality sound and quality service.
