Very happy so far
We are very happy with this stain so far. It is the Black Walnut. Just applied today 6/29/2021 to untreated pine on a ceiling of a pavilion as shown in the uploaded photo. The pavilion was built in October of 2020 so the wood has dried out through an Ohio winter and is accepting the stain very well. The beams are rough sawn so are really soaking up the stain and are a little darker than the tongue and groove pine on the ceiling which is great. We did not wipe down the boards after rolling and brushing on since we wanted a dark look. We will need wipe down the deck floor boards, of course, as described in the how to video by Idaho painter. As with all stains, you need to repeatedly stir up the stain to keep the color even (re Idaho Painter video). We bought a drill attachment on Amazon to make the frequent stirring easy. The test samples of the stain on treated lumber also looked good, so we're looking forward to using this on the deck floor.

Brings out wood grain
I built a 250 foot fence using pressure treated pine and wanted a stain that would preserve the wood grain and protect from sun and water .I applied it with an air sprayer and it looks great . It also is repelling water . There are some things to know , for one you must stir it completely and occasionally when applying as the color settles to the bottom , it's also oil based so it takes a long time to dry .Overall i really like the finished product but will get back in the future concerning longevity o

Worst
I was so excited to paint my front porch. It lasted a few months. It faded in sun then disappeared. I'm old and the work and cost to redo is not an option. I really thought the brand was superior, boy I was so wrong.
