Easy to Read, Engaging and Insightful
Seriously the best textbook I have ever read. Bought in 2017, my first year of undergrad I knew nothing about sociology, and I am now working on my masters in social work. This book introduced me to and helped me engage with social issues.

Easy to understand.
Rented it at very low price (ebook version) because my class do requires it. I read through it a bit and it is interesting and easy to understand. ...Shame I only read it first week (and I'm still passing my class with flying color) despite how my professor ensured the whole class that we absolutely need it. If you are renting it for class,MAKE SURE you are getting right version, I believe it's hardcopy version cover have different color from ebook version of it. If you need this book because you are interested (not because your class requires it), I would suggest PURCHASING hardcopy version or ebook not renting it because rental period is last about 4-5 months (just enough time for student to read it ONE semester) and unless you can memorize the whole book during that time, it would be better to purchase it rather than renting it again and again.

Easy to navigate
Rented it on kindle because I had to get it for my class. I would rent it on eBook. The kindle program is really friendly. Its easy to find information you are looking for. I would rent it again if I had to. I rent most of my textbooks now because I don't use it after my class ends. I only need it for one semester. eBook is easier to navigate than the hard copy.

It does what itโs supposed to do ... Educate ๐
Needed it for my sociology class . It was perfect . It obviously showed that it was used previously ( i rented the book) but all the pages are there , some parts were highlighted but not a bother . Nevertheless, all the pages were there meaning i have no reason to complain .... overall, the Book helped get an A+ , so it deserves an A aswell ( well 5stars)

A bit dire and promotes certain views.
The vocabulary was extensive and could have done better by minimising dialogue and scenarios tended to be too complex. Globalization seemed to be a theme throughout the entire book. It is a pressing matter today, but it all seemed to go back to that mind set and thus promoting it.

Personally one of the best textbooks I own
Personally one of the best textbooks I own. As a student I bought this to compliment my Social Science Curriculum and I find this introduction to be quite fascinating. If you are preparing for class this book is a lovely addition and if you just want to read into Sociology for fun, this book works like a charm.
