This is excellent for use on people w/dry eye. I have used this product for over 25 yrs. at bedtime and when I awake in the a.m. I also use it during the day if I have a problem. Going on the internet and not blinking your eyes periodically can definitely cause that irritation. It is much better than eye drops, which can irritate your eyes and are not as effective. FYI: I paid about $8 a bottle for this eyewash on this site on Amazon, thinking that Amazon would have the best price, and then found it for $4.19 ea. at my local grocery store (Ingle's), so you may want to look at your local grocery store first.

After having surgery on both of my eyes (twice) three years ago they always seemed to be dry and constantly irritated. Part of the problem -- which I didn't have prior to the surgeries -- was the inability of the surgeon to have the upper part of my lower eyelids properly turned back against the eyeball. Instead that part of the lower eyelid is slightly turned outwards, preventing the natural seal between the eye and lid that normally keeps the eye lubricated and foreign material out. This is exacerbated by the constant pollen problems we have year round in Southwest Florida.I had previously used the Baush & Lomb Sensitive Eyes formula to wash out my eyes when they dried out or were irritated. That product seems to have been discontinued but this new Advanced Eye Relief works well for me as a substitute. It has been hard for me to find a useful and effective product because of my Viking heritage of blue eyes, light skin and blond hair. I'm simply allergic to many competing formulas.So if you've been having problems keeping your eyes properly lubricated and comfortable, try this Bausch and Lomb product. And if it doesn't work for you, just keep trying other products until you find one that does the job. We are all different after all.

It was becoming increasingly difficult to find the Bausch & Lomb Advanced Eye Relief Eye Wash -- finally it occurred to us that it would be cheaper to order it on line than spend time and gas driving around to find the product. This stuff wakes me up every morning. If you're a CPAP user, this helps with the dry eyes from mask leaks.

This really refreshes your eyes. I use it in the morning with an eye wash cup on both eyes. Wow. This helps your eyes "wake up" and any gritty feeling is taken away. Very REFRESHING. I can imagine guys and gals getting relief after a bad night or when they're short of sleep. I just use it most mornings because I live in a horribly dry climate and the air quality is lousy. So that awful "scratchy" and "dry" feeling goes away by washing my eyes with this product. It's got a slight "salt sting" when you first hit the liquid onto your eye but then it cleans your eyes and they feel so refreshed. Yes, I was shocked at the difference!!! Love this. It's not a "red eye" fix (though your eyes do look better), it is a CLEAN and REFRESH thing. If you have bloodshot eyes, I recommend you follow up the washing with LUMIFY drops also by Bausch and Lomb and you'll have sparkling eyes for hours.

Edit: is still a good product. I just can't afford this for daily use anymore at $1.55 an oz. That's crazy. I've had to find a substitute but that comes in a huge bottle for wash stations, so not as convenient. Anyway, disappointed with the greed.I had put off buying these since they added preservatives and I have sensitive eyes and allergies, but I finally ordered and was pleasantly surprised that I have no issues with them. I use eye wash almost daily because of dry eyes so these are pretty good value. I would have given more stars if the cap was not so hard to open. If it's an emergency and your hands are wet, or you're old with stiff hands, this could be tragic. I hope they fix this!

I have used this product for years. After having cataract surgery for both eyes, I was experiencing a grainy feeling in my eyes and consulted with my surgeon's office. I was advised to try washing my eyes with a product such as Bausch and Lomb Eye Wash and then use a dry eye product. The Bausch and Lomb product has worked very well and I have continued to use it over the years since my surgery. It is easy to use and I use it in the morning and at night time. It is very soothing to my eyes and the price here is very reasonable and each bottle lasts quite a long time.

This is my second order. I notice the label has dropped the word "Collyrium" which is how I searched for the product for my first order, which was what my opthalmolgist suggested. I wanted to wash my eye surfaces. Don't wear contacts or eye makeup, just very itchy during heavy pollen season, where there is too much pollen for the usual eye drops to get rid of. Comes in a box with a plastic eye cup. Good idea to have 2, so that if there is an infection in one eye, not passed to the other. I use about a half cup to really roll my eyeballs in. Very refreshing afterwards. This comes in a 6 pack, and lasts a while, obviously I use more during the pollen season, but it's also good for too long at the computer, or binge-watching tv shows.

My husband works with a lot of auto restoration and is constantly getting something in his eyes. Even with safety goggles. I always tell him he has “sticky” eyes. But this is great for a quick rinse to get small debris out.
