Background: I took medical terminolgy class and anatomy, medical and billing courses.This book helped me prepare for my cpc exam I just took yesterday. Answer key contained explanation and reasoning that helped me understand the material. I went through the whole book and reviewed my errors. Timed myself again to take it a second time. I will update my status after I get my exam results.

This is an excellent way if you want to pass the CPC. The authors explanation of the procedures made it easier for me to pass the CPC on the first time. I am also using it as a supplement to study for the COC exam, hopefully I will be fortunate enough to pass this on the first time too.

Didn't take any classes, just used this study guide and read the coding books, passed my test first try. Worth the $30.
