Great concept, poor implementation.
I really wanted to love this thing. I purchased the 10ft version because the 11ft was not available. I figured it would still be long enough for a 9.5ft hammock. It really isn't. I have a structural ridgeline at about 95 inches. I can barely get the bugnet in place at the ends of the hammock. I actually moved my ridgeline from the point where the continual loops meet the whoopie slings to just at the hammock fabric and it is still barely long enough. If you use a structural ridgeline this won't work for you. Period. Additionally there are tons of places where the stitching is extremely poor. Loose threads, fabric folds, and hanging pieces of netting. On top of that the netting had several small holes in it out of the packaging.I wish I could give this a better review. For what it is, a bugnet, underquilt protector, and privacy shade in one, it is very light weight and could be very functional.

Lightweight and very useful
Lightweight.I haven't taken this out on a field test yet, just some backyard hanging. I do like the weight of it and the feature of the underside protector. I was able to easily rotate it to block off some wind. It did get a bit snug over the underquilt, but after some adjustments it seemed fine and I did not get cold spots from compression during the night (which got down to the high 30s). I was able to stuff this along with an 11' hammock into a double ended Dutch bishop bag, for easy deploy.I really like socks vs the clip on bug nets because I can access my ridgeline while hanging. And this has no zippers to snag on. When not in use, I was easily able to side it down and into the bishop bagupdate: I am currently working out a configuration where i can use this as an impromptu bivy if i need to go to ground. so far this has been a very versatile bugnet

Impossible for me to close
This net is very lightweight, but you can see through the bottom, so I doubt that it would serve as a good underquilt protector. I didn't test it in wet conditions, though, so it may. My problem is that I couldn't close it. You pull it up over your head and then cinch it closed around the hammock suspension. Even with a 10 ft hammock, that's impossible for me to reach without some serious gymnastics, and the popular 11 ft size would be even more difficult. I badly wanted for it to work, but it just didn't for me. If you're 6'3" and have the reach of an orangutan, then it may for you. If so, I would recommend it. Otherwise, not.

Good DWR and wind block, good protection from bugs
I can honestly say that this is a nice bug net. I personally do not like the Fronkey style (zip underneath and climb in) bug nets, but I'm not 100% sold that this is way better. What I can say is that this provides amazing protection from bugs and that the DWR coating on the bottom really does work! It also is a great wind blocker. I took this out on a trip in which I thought the bugs were going to be bad--they weren't, mainly due to SNOW. I wound up using the bug net as a DWR coating to keep the water off of my underquilt and also as a wind block. It was very effective for both. What I found most frustrating was the fact that I couldn't really reach the top to tie the bug net shut. It was a little bit of a battle for me. In addition, this is not the best bug net for backpacking. I have a Dutchware Half Wit that I will continue to use exclusively for backpacking, while this bug net will go with me to campgrounds and at home when the bugs are bad. I may use it in the spring for the DWR coating on the bottom.

Great lightweight bug net. Make sure the style is what you want.
This is a great sock style bugnet. It's lighter than almost anything out there you can get for a hammock bug net and packs down really well. For a bug net this style, I wouldn't change anything, and if that's what you're looking for, I think this is a great option. The downside to this style bug net is that with the ridge line supporting the net running from hammock end to hammock end, instead of a tree to tree ridge line strung higher up, it hangs pretty close to the hammock (and to you in the hammock). The netting can almost be touching your face. It can seem a little claustrophobic, and I found it hard to read in the hammock with the net up, which is what I usually do before going to sleep. I had to prop the net up with my book as I was reading it in order to read, and it was kind of awkward.

Well made.
My Bug net arrived on time and as advertised. I tested it out in my basement at home. It seems to work well. A little cumbersome to close for me, YMMV. I think it could use a little more fabric or net to give more room for your under-quilt. I have a 10'6" DIY hammock and I have plenty of length. This should cover a n 11' hammock without issue. If turned around it can be used as a sock to retain some warmth and give some privacy. Also affords some weather protection for your under-quilt. If this bug net just had a little more girth it would allow me to pass it under myself easier for closing, and allow more room for my under-quilt. I plan on taking it out on a 3-4 day hike in a couple weeks and if I remember I will update this review afterwards. At this point I would recommend this product to anyone looking for a bug-net for their hammock.Pros:LightCompactreasonable priceCon:A bit cumbersome to closeCould use more diameter

It was constructed nice, but am not sure yet
It was constructed nice, but am not sure yet. I currently have a 9 ft Ridgeline and the bug net will not seal around the top of the hammock because of my body sag in the hammock. It leaves a 6 inch gap that would allow bugs. I have the same problem with a 7ft Ridgeline and no Ridgeline as well. Not sure how to combat this problem. It appears that no sag is the best way. But then there goes comfortability while sleeping. This is tried only with hammock, no underquilt (it definitely wouldn't fit). Hammock without Ridgeline and laying flat on ground is 10 ft 6. If I am not laying in hammock, the bug net covers the hammock completely head to toe with room to spare.Am happy with construction and quality, but not size
