I purchased this as a gift for my husband. It arrived well ahead of the promised date and the set itself is a joy to handle and play with. The pictures do it no justice as it is hard to see the depth of design on the board or the luster of the finish. The pieces themselves are a rare combination of unusual style and easily identifiable piece profile. The size and weight are substantial and feel good in the hand. It is heavy and will stay in place but not for travel! I would recommend this set to anyone.

The chess box or velvet storage from the inside is awful and done unprofessionally. I feel cheated.

The chess board and pieces are very well made.The storage case is is alright but the upholstery is a bit delicate and for some reason the bishop and knight spots are switched. Every entity that gazes upon this chess set with their optical cranium sockets utters words of satisfaction and then shortly after speaks of my poor capital management, they are correct.
