This is a great deck
This is one of those products that i can say does not match the negative reviews with re to illumination or being able to see it.It has some really nice colors to select from and i have no trouble at all seeing it.To go a step further, the illumination is the best of Any stereo product I've owned.Read the owners manual briefly, wired it up turned it on.Impressive audio quality !I have it hooked up on the pre outs to a 9606D pioneer mono block driving a Massive alpine sub (it's 12 inch but weighs like 40 lbs) in a bazooka tube enclosure, vibrates your eyeballs. There is a high end selection of individual sound settings.Advanced features, some that i use bt audio, sound quality excellent, once paired it auto hooks and starts AND the music is fully controlled from the deck, real easy to forget your phone is playing music but this feature lets you use your phone for other stuff so if you want to change your misic you don't have to open a app and hassel with your phone.Another big deal flr me because my fingers are big was the location of the SRC button, its fat and easy to push without looking. The other big deal for me was having separated buttons for song control meaning there is a space inbetween the two instead of two buttons really close together.I could go on and on, for me this is a 100% satisfaction buy.

Full featured Pioneer head unit
The media could not be loaded. I searched for weeks and I believe I chose wisely. All the features I was looking for, Bluetooth, AM/FM, CD, USB, Sirius ready, 3 sets of RCA outputs for speakers or frequency splitting reside in this 1 din head unit for a very reasonable price. The buitin in analyzer with microphone and a microphone for picking up your voice when using Bluetooth just pushes this unit over the top for features and value.Oh yeah, did I say it sounds great ???It sounds great !!!!

Best radio I have owned....will be owning one more soon
I bought this to replace my pioneer DEH-P7700MP .I could not be any happier with my new radio....some people complained about the display screen not being very bright..with that is mind if you set up the color display you can easily change the color to one that fits your vision needs to me it is different for each person my wife thinks some colors are bright that I think are some what dim and I feel some colors are bright she feels are dim that I dont so it really is down to personal preference....I love the different vocal arrangements and settings it has and al so the speaker levels you can adjust makes this head Unit very versatile and dynamic I will definitely be purchasing more the one of these....and on top of that my package arrived 1 day early too

I'm Glad I Stuck With Pioneer!
I already had an aftermarket Pioneer deck but it was before "hands free" was really available. It lasted 10+ years with no problems except at the end when the display kept going out and it eventually died on me. Several people were giving me recommendations for other brands but I wasn't to sure about switching because I'm the type of person that once I find a brand that works well, I stick with it. So I went online to research the different features that I wanted and were available. After looking at several decks, the Pioneer DEH-X8800BHS was the winner for me. While it seemed like many decks have similar features, HD Radio was one that I thought would be more common in this day and age but it seems as though it is not when it comes to single din non touch screen decks. I received my order quickly and set in to complete the install two days later. The one and only thing that irritated me about the install, was that the wiring harness slot was a different size than my previous pioneer deck so I had to cut the already shortened wires to remove the old harness to connect the new one. I later found out from a stereo installer that this is a common annoyance that manufacturers change for no good reason. After all of the wires were connected and the microphone cable ran around and just past my visor, I turned everything on and immediately had sound again! Initially the ARC app would not recognize the stereo and I found that the only way it would, was if I didn't open the app myself and instead just push and hold the volume dial down which automatically launched the app on my phone. I'm still in the process of finding my ideal sound settings but I find it so much more convenient than having to manually go through menus within the stereo. The hands free works extremely well and having the USB cable connected has been useful. I have seen other reviews complain about the screen being too dim especially in sunlight and to that I just say that they have not experimented enough with the color settings as I had no problem finding a display that I have no trouble seeing in any light.I highly recommend this deck to anyone looking for a single din until that is packed full of features and not ridiculously priced while not sacrificing any sound quality performance.
