Center switch between forward and reverse is neither, locks it, holds the gearing still.

Q: We bought one, and can't find a place on it to stow the extra bits like a Yankee Drill has in its base. Is there one on the tool?

Not that I can see....can't find where the bits would be stored on the drill. Good old zip lock and scotch tape keep them together for me.
