Q: Can the magnifying lens be clipped to the left side

yes its just held in place on the side with a roach clip.

Q: can I use this for welding / cutting with a tourch?

I wouldn't. More for costumes. Its hard plastic and it had thick glass and a blue lense. I really won't use it for welding.

Q: how big are the lenses and are they polorized what are the dementions

The lenses are colored so they tone down the brightness, I don’t think they are polorized unless the description says they are. As for dimensions ours are packed away, but they are slightly larger than goggles you would wear in a pool .
