A good price on the blades. **Q: Are these made for Gillette safety rasors?** A: These will work in any double edge safety razor with the thread off top or butterfly open. So yes they'll work in an old Gillette double edge safety razor too. I am not familiar with "gum points." I do, however, really like the blades. Perhaps, not as sharp as Feathers, but smoother. Ideally, I get about 3-4 shaves per blade. I’ve been wet shaving with DE Razors for over 15 years now. I have a Muhle Rocca, and Feather Asd2. The red box persona blades were my go to for years, and if my skin was irritated I’d switch to the Astra blades that day. I always thought the sharper the blade the better. That is not the case! You need balance. And balance is was these blades have good sharpness just under Feather but the coating provides a very smooth cushion for your skin, and I get to solid head shaves without any pulling or nicks . They are perfect in the Muhle Rocca. If you haven’t tried this combo I highly recommend it.
