The disc on my Terratek that holds the plastic cutters snapped. It was only plastic. I hit a stone and then couldn’t use it. I ordered another from the seller I bought the strimmer from and it was dispatched quickly.I tried for days to get the old one off. Trying to reverse the screw that was already in so I could put the new disc on. Eventually I went to a neighbour. He placed the strimmer in a vice and turned it clockwise rather than anti- clockwise and it released ! First time that has ever happend. I thought turning clockwise would tighten the screw!But all is good now and my very handy strimmer is once again working well.

The media could not be loaded. I would noy give this a single star, but it would not allow me to submit without giving at least 1. This item is NOT suitable for the terratek grass trimmer model TCSBUN. This is the 3rd one I have purchased and it will not stay on the strimmer. I cannot find any other holder for this model, so I wasted £100 for a strimmer that I could only use foe 1 summer due to the fact that as soon as you need to replace the holder, it becomes useless

I like the complete strimmer very much but find this article a weak point for the conditions it has to cope with. At £12+ a time it's an expensive replacement.
