Great Game for Kids – Fun, Challenging, and Age-Appropriate!
My 7-year-old son absolutely loves Ratchet & Clank! It’s the perfect mix of action, humor, and adventure that keeps him entertained without being too violent or intense. The graphics are amazing and the characters are fun and engaging. What I really appreciate is that the game is challenging enough to keep him thinking, but not so hard that he gets frustrated. It’s helping him with problem-solving, coordination, and even a bit of reading!Definitely a great choice for kids around his age. Safe, exciting, and something he keeps going back to again and again. Highly recommend for young gamers!

A great addition to the series and honestly the best so far in my opinion.
I love Ratchet and Clank and have played pretty much all of the games thus far minus the PS3 game. This is very much a R&C game and I love the new mechanic they put in and I think this game scratches that itch for when I want a bit of my childhood back. Best part is, I can play this with my son because it's lacking in adult themes other than guns but they've definitely made it clear who their audience is. Dads.

Pretty much what I expected
20 hours played on Hard difficultyI’ve played just about all of the Ratchet and Clank games at this point, and they’ve all been fun. If you’re NOT new to these games, then you should know what to expect by now. They’re short, hectic, and fun to play. If you’re expecting to be swept off your feet, then this may not be the game for you.[Combat]These games are primarily 3rd person shooters with a touch of melee and “strategic” combat sprinkled in. By “strategic” I’m referring to setting up traps and tossing out bombs. I mainly stuck to the shooting and melee since that’s my wheelhouse. The shooting controls felt tight and if I missed a shot, I knew it was my fault. The melee combat was assigned to one button and offered a good change of pace. Although, I wouldn’t advise trying to play the entire game as a melee fighter because that could prove to be difficult. In other words, you should pick your spots…[Weaponry]Ratchet & Clank are well known for their weapon variety. Heck, you’ll come across weapons that you’d be surprised someone could think of. I’m sorry to disappoint you but I stuck to the same couple of weapons, as I tend to do in every game. For me, it was the blaster weapon that you start the game with and I eventually moved to a more powerful weapon that shot out discs. There’s a ton of other fun stuff available that I didn’t try.[Enemies]My only problem with the previous games was I felt they were a tad bit on the easy side at times. To remedy this, I decided to play this version on the harder difficulty, and the enemies felt just right. In other words, I needed to respect each and every encounter because there was no guarantee that I would come out on top. These enemies are smart enough to dodge your stream of fire so you can’t just aim, close your eyes, and fire away. You really have to pay attention to what you’re doing. I guess the enemy variety was ok for a short game? There are about 9 planets in total, and my hope is I’d encounter new enemies on each planet, and I’m not sure that happened. The boss fights were ok and I usually beat them within a few attempts.[Miscellaneous]* There’s a new playable character (Rivet). She plays identical to Ratchet, and you’ll play as her roughly half the time.* The game has one of the better maps I’ve seen in gaming. It actually fills in the map as you explore, so it’s always easy to tell which areas you’ve not explored yet (they will not be filled in).* The fast travel could be better. I wish there was a way to fast travel back to your ship as opposed to running alllll the way back to it!*The game looks amazing and shows the true potential of what the PS5 can do.I’ll be honest. I don’t think you should pay full price for this game because it’s far too short to warrant $69.99 or however much it cost. However, if you can grab it on Black Friday and play it until that next “big release” comes out; then this would be perfect. If you’ve never played these games and are intrigued, give it a try!!! Elex 2; you’re up next!

My son (9) loves Astro Bot and was looking for another adventure. He enjoyed this game as well. Great story and game play. During certain parts of the game you can also play as other characters. Would recommend if you or your kid enjoyed Astro Bot.
