Great space saver, Really easy install
So easy to install, with nice clear directions. My husband and I did it together in about 20 minutes with zero problems. I could have done it on my own. Very hard, durable material, and looks nice. It's a functional door, not a decorative door though, so it's not like you would probably normally want it on your bedroom or something. We have it for our basement door. Before, with a regular swing door, our basement door and the outside door almost overlapped completely when opened, that's how small our space it. It made it so the doors didn't open all the way and we had to squeeze out the basement, close the door, then open the outside door. Not very handy when you're carrying a ladder or anything else you'd be likely to bring up from the basement! Now, thanks to this accordion door, all my frustration is gone! We can easily open out outside door and have a clear path outside. I am literally thankful for this door every day! It has made life so much easier.Pros:Fits wellWell-made, durable materialSlides smoothly along the trackEasy to installLooks unassumingGreat priceGives you space!!!Cons:All of these cons would be true of any accordion door. This is not meant to be a sealed airtight door. There's a small gap at the bottom (there needs to be so it can slide back and forth). Not beautiful (not ugly either, just know that by nature it's not as pretty as a real door). Not baby proof / child proof. Not as much privacy as a real door.If you want a locking door, you'd have to figure out your own system to put a lock on this door.Bottom line, If you have a tight space I cannot recommend this door highly enough. End your door frustration and treat yourself to this space saver!

Not Great, but Good Enough
I needed two of these doors to close off a wide square archway into my basement. I was surprised to find two very different boxes delivered; both roughly the same length but one box was easily twice the volume of the other -- and yet the packaging inside each box was identical. The smaller box showed some damage along one edge, and some of the plastic components of the door were splintered when I unwrapped it. I was surprised to also find some noticeable cracking of plastic components on the other door as well, despite the box looking OK. During assembly, I also encountered a few bad "rubs" and scrapes of the wooden parts of both doors, in both cases on the edge where it would be attached to the wall so I didn't mind too much... but was still glad these doors were merely part of pet-proofing my basement and thus the cosmetic damage didn't really matter. It took me a couple of run-throughs of the instructions to figure out how things went together, but as soon as the logic "clicked" in my mind it was a relatively easy process. The plastic trackways that the doors hang from were too long for the opening but cut very easily with a dollar store hacksaw. (I chose to cut a bit off each instead of making one much shorter so I could keep the seam between tracks in the center of the archway where it wouldn't interfere with the doors sliding open & shut.) A quick pass with a small file cleared any plastic burrs created during the cutting process. It was a little difficult putting all the pieces into place for the handles -- a hard rubber mallet (or gentle hand with a regular hammer) is really necessary for this step -- but overall every pre-drilled hole was in the right location and of the right size. The tracks attached to the ceiling as expected, and there were no problems fitting both doors into just one trackway while I screwed the 2nd into place (an issue only affecting dual-door installations). Luckily, none of the cracked or splintered components were critical -- although I did use E6000 glue to repair one particularly nasty crack the night before I mounted the doors just to be sure. They attach to clips that are screwed into the wall on either side, and everything lined up almost perfectly on the first try with just a little extra pre-attachment measuring to be sure. The doors look like... well, hanging accordion doors. They're attractive enough for me to like what I see when I go down to the basement but probably would look out of place in a more elegant or high-end environment. I would've given them a 5-star rating for "Value for money" if they hadn't been delivered with so much damage -- and I remember reading a lot of pre-purchase reviews talking about similar problems so it really is something the manufacturer needs to work on.

Terrific folding door for the price.
For the very modest amount of money that I paid to buy this folding "closet" door (I installed it in an actual in-house doorway to cut down on draftiness from an un-insulated adjoining room at my Mom's home that was built in the early 1900s), it is excellent, attractive, and was easy to install with the enclosed directions. I would use better screws than the ones that came with mine, if I were you. They are about an inch long, but the Phillips head screw tops are too weak to keep from stripping them when cinching down on them to mount the top hanger piece and the side channel pieces. So get about 15 to 20 better screws before you start the installation, and you should be quite satisfied with (and proud of) the result. (My Mom sure was.) I was in no hurry, and probably had it up and finished in less than an hour. Some other reviewers had complained about the boxed door being damaged when they received it. Mine was well packed and had cushioning at the top and bottom ends of the packed folding door, and was in perfect condition, with no parts missing.
