Beautifully presented yet one ingredient to know about:
Cult 51 is an eye catcher yet my wife is gravitating toward a more natural approach. We applaud the company for listing the full ingredients here. This serum relies prominently on a lab oriented approach with common humectants including Glycerin and Cyclopentasiloxane. It also has this one with a name I’m not about to attempt to pronounce: Perfluoroperhydrophenanthrene. One preservative near the middle of the ingredients list is worth knowing about: Phenoxyethanol. There have been reports of uncommon reactions to phenoxyethanol being quite rarely linked to eczema and strong allergic reactions. Phenoxyethanol use is often strongly discouraged by safe cosmetics advocates to be used around infants including those who are breast feeding. Studies indicate this preservative should be avoided around the youngest of children. Those who wish to learn more and make the best personal decision regarding this ingredient may consider doing an online search for “phenoxyethanol safety.” Given this uncertainty, this is one reason why it is always important to consult your dermatologist first before embarking on any new regimen.Keep in mind that several beauty brands include phenoxyethanol. Reactions are uncommon.

No, Just No, I am not putting alcohol anywhere near my eyes
CULT51 Eye Repair Reduces the Appearance of Fine Lines, Dark Circles, PuffinessI have super dry and sensitive skin and I normally test any skincare product on my chest and wrist to see if there will be any reactions before even trying it on my face. I tried this on the back of my hand where my skin is pretty weathered and exposed to chemicals regularly. The scent of alcohol was very strong and this stung and burned, so there is no way I would consider putting anything around the super-sensitive area around my eyes that contains denatured alcohol as the fourth ingredient. I understand that alcohol can help with penetration with a lot of ingredients but this is overkill. If the alcohol were lower down in the ingredient list, this serum would be a winner. There are a lot of really great ingredients. Please don't let fear-mongers point out one ingredient that a certain site says is dangerous -Phenoxyethanol- It’s pretty much the current IT preservative. It’s safe and gentle, but even more importantly, it’s not a feared-by-everyone-mostly-without-scientific-reason paraben. You really don't want skincare that doesn't use some sort of preservative since that would cause major issues and damage to your skin from bacteria. Bacteria is bad. Phenoxyethanol is good and very safe. You would have to use this ingredient as really high concentrations to be an issue. Worry more about the alcohol when it is in the top five of ingredients - well, unless you have very oily skin.#fragrance & essential oil-freeKey IngredientsAnti-acne: Sodium Ascorbyl PhosphateAntioxidant: Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate, Caffeine, Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract, Calendula Officinalis Flower Extract, Centella Asiatica ExtractSkin-identical ingredient: GlycerinSoothing: Panthenol, Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract, Ruscus Aculeatus Root Extract, Calendula Officinalis Flower Extract, Centella Asiatica ExtractShow all ingredients by functionOther IngredientsAntimicrobial/antibacterial: Alcohol DenatBuffering: Sodium HydroxideEmollient: Dimethicone, Sodium Polyacrylate, CyclopentasiloxaneEmulsifying: Methyl Gluceth-10, Trideceth-6, PEG/PPG-18/18 DimethiconeMoisturizer/humectant: Butylene Glycol, Glycerin, Soluble Collagen, Methyl Gluceth-10, Panthenol, Centella Asiatica ExtractPerfuming: Benzyl Alcohol, Caffeine, Calendula Officinalis Flower ExtractPreservative: Benzyl Alcohol, Phenoxyethanol, Dehydroacetic Acid, Potassium Sorbate, Sodium BenzoateSolvent: Aqua, Perfluorohexane, Butylene Glycol, Alcohol Denat, Perfluoroperhydrophenanthrene, Benzyl Alcohol, CyclopentasiloxaneSurfactant/cleansing: Sodium Cocoyl Glutamate, Trideceth-6Viscosity controlling: Butylene Glycol, Alcohol Denat, Sodium Polyacrylate, Benzyl Alcohol, Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, CarbomerIngredientsAqua,Perfluorohexane, Butylene Glycol, Alcohol Denat, Glycerin, Perfluoroperhydrophenanthrene, Soluble Collagen, Dimethicone, Perfluoro Dimethylethylpentane, Argania Spinosa Kernel Extract, Sodium Polyacrylate, Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate, Methyl Gluceth-10,Oxygen,Benzyl Alcohol,Caffeine,Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate,Crosspolymer, Cyclopentasiloxane, Panthenol, Sodium Cocoyl Glucamate, Trideceth-6,Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract, Phenoxyethanol, Escin, Dehydroacetic Acid, Carbomer, Ruscus Aculeatus Root Extract, PEG/PPG-18/18 Dimethicone, Ammonium Glycyrrhizate, Hydrolyzed Yeast Protein, Calendula Officinalis Flower Extract, Potassium Sorbate,Sodium Benzoate,Sodium Hydroxide,Centella Asiatica Extract.

Eye Soothing
A very nice eye cream that I find to be soothing to the skin. It's a warm white cream that pumps out of a fancy bottle or can. Only a very small amount is released at a time which is all you need per eye. It spreads well and feels great while spreading across the eye area. Glides across like silk. Absorbs well and does not leave any residuals along the surface of the skin. Makes the skin feel silky smooth and moisturizes the area. Diminishes fine lines and will last all day. It has a little bit of a scent that smells like some sort of cosmetic product with maybe a slight hint of coffee. It does contain caffeine, but I don't know if there is actually any coffee. It's not at all a strong scent and what is there will dissipate quickly.Good for all skin types and is just as good for men as it is for women.
