Come Back to Me: A Small Town Second Chance Romance (Cole Brothers Book 1)

Can authors stop making the female leads born again virgins and the male lead whores until she happens to comes back?? I'm soooooo tired of this, in what world does that happen? 10 years apart, and the female doesn't even have ONE mistake one night stand, a rebound, or a few guys she was interested in/interested in her??? No, STOP DOING THIS.... ITS ANNOYING & UNREALISTIC!! It doesn't matter if she was hurt or heartbroken.... give the girl get over him sex, rebounds... SOMEONE that she may have been interested in or vice versa. It doesn't only happen for guys!! Girls don't lock up and lose the key, until the whore ex comes back with his magical cock key.. STOP IT!!

The story is just a bunch of cliches and over used tropes. Jolie is an emotionally stunted character and completely dysfunctional in all her relationships. Gavin uses the loss of Jolie as an excuse to follow in his father's business shoes and do all the things that he knew the town hated his father for doing. Neither character was worth my intrest.

The past meets back up for the future or so it did for Gavin and Jolie. When bullies from high school went out of their way to break them up, they succeeded for ten years. When Jolie’s mother got sick she returned home to care for her. With it being a small town everybody knows everybody and everybody’s business is always up for grab. When Gavin offers her a job to her with her mother’s bills, she accepts. Only to find her way back to Gavin and what they gave up. When history repeats itself with they ever find their HEA? Yes they do and you’ll have to read it for yourselves because this story brings the past and the present into focus.

Gavin Cole is one of the infamous Cole brothers. Gavin and Jolie were high school sweethearts until she thought he was cheating and she never gave him a chance to explain. Years later she comes home to care for her sick mother. She can only get a job with Cole enterprises as Gavin's PA. She takes it. Gavin does not want to commit to anyone, he parents were killed and he still have not gotten over that. He explains what happened. Can they get over the past. I really enjoyed this story, and cannot wait for the other stories about the brothers. A Second Chance Romance at its best! Gavin and Jolie were childhood sweethearts, until near the end of their senior year in high school, Gavin cheated on her, or did he? It is nothing like returning home because your mother needs you, but the only person hiring is your ex who broke your heart. The attraction and chemistry between these two could light a fire! It definitely shows the importance of communication in any relationship, and what can happen when there is not any. It is a great story that I really enjoyed, so therefore, I highly recommend it.I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout, and also purchased a copy, and am voluntarily leaving a review.

A quick read. Well written but the storyline was a little weak.Characters were well developed but, a little too much angst about a high school breakup 10 years prior which was pretty much what story was based on.

Very cute second change love story with Gavin and Jolie. They were separate because of lies and more lies tried to tear them apart again. Through perseverance and truth they got there second change and HEA. It was definitely a ride for them to get where they wore but very worth in the end.

Well I'm certainly a fan of second chance romances ,this one definitely ticked all the boxes for me . Gavin and Jolie wow how their love for each other never stopped even after 10 years apart. Great story and we'll worth 5*

I just love second chances and this book definitely delivered. Good story and interesting characters with right amount of heat.Will definitely read more from this author.

A new author to me. I’m a bit confused why the author’s name isn’t always clear. This story is about Jolie and Gavin. Jolie left town 10 years ago with a broken heart and is now back to care after her mom. Gavin has no idea why Jolie left 10 yrs ago. It turns out Gavin needs a new assistant and Jolie can’t find a job.It feels like no time has passed but they need to resolve the issues between them before they can move in. Super fast read.The end felt super rushed and seemed super cliche, and a lot of the writing seemed repetitive.All in all worth the read but probably not going to continue the series.
