Veggietastic
Having bought a cheap hand held spiralizer sold locally...and cut myself twice , but being totally convinced about what it offered I embarked upon researching more upmarket models. I was totally convinced by lots of precise feedback about Brieftons equipment, neving having come across them before. Also recommend their website for great tips. This spiralizer is great. It's so easy to remove the blades safely, a major concern for me. The blades I have used thus far have delivered superb results, and it is so easy to assemble, there is no need to not pack it away each day after use.

Is a fancy salad worth the money?
COSTI feel it's a bit misguiding because the RRP makes you think you're buying a deluxe product, and then the price (£49.99) is crossed out and reduced to £19.95 which makes you feel like you're super lucky to find this product when it's on sale. Nothing more disappointing. It's actually always been like that. Just a quick search on the internet and you'll be able to find it. My advice? Don't think it's a special occasion. It's just the original price of the product.THE SELLERThe seller sent out the email to me, that the item has been dispatched and if I have any questions I should contact them. I did not contact the seller. However, the actual item was sent and arrived very quickly. They also supply you with ebooks full of recepies that you can use with your new Spitalizer.THE PRODUCTThe product is supplied with different 'shapes' of blades that help you create a feast-for-your-eyes salads. The blades are very sharp which makes the process very qucik.PROS:+ sharp blades+ easy to wash (when you do it straight away)+ the legs of the spiralizer have suction 'tags' which means that when you use the product, it won't move about.+ easy to assemble and put apart when you need to take it somewhere+ doesn't take much spaceCONS:- Misguiding price, which makes you think the item is for on a sale.- No instruction video how to actually properly use it so you know EXACTLY what you need to do. There are pictures on the box and on the manual but I think some people could benefit from a video.- Perfect price? No more than £15- If you want to spiralize food like cucumbers, you need to watch out because the juice will go down on the table and not into your bowl. I personally belive the design could be better so the 'spirals' can go directly to a bowl rather than straight on the table.CONCLUSIONSThe product is very reliable. The only cons were mostly about the way it's advertised. This is a reliable item for anyone who wants to turn boring salads into something beutiful :)____________________________+ I try to make the reviews as honest and trustworthy as possible. Don’t bother, buy an electric one!
Bought this as it had good reviews. Returned it as turns out it’s a two man (or woman) job to use! Firstly the suction was rubbish, hence one person to hold it down, one to turn the handle and push the feeder through. The handle is too long and flimsy for making potato/beetroot spirals, I had to hold it close to the screw joint (where you attach the handle) to get any purchase. Cucumbers and Courgettes don’t work well due to the metal rod which holds the veg (it takes the middle out) The spiked holder on the other end just tends to smush the cucumber as you try to push the veg through/turn the handle. Potatoes and Swede turn out ok but the effort far outweighs the end result. I’m off to buy an electric spiraliser......

Great gadget
great gadget with the addition of the downloadable recipe books made this an easy choice for me. The machine is sturdy with sucker of the feet to stop it from slipping on the work surface. I have already tried one of the recipes from the book and it was a great hit with the family. I am now going to shop for fruits and veggies that i can spiralise and ribbon and plan my menus that way from now on. The only thing i would suggest is that the machine is placed onto a plastic tray to collect the sprialised veggies as normal plates/dishes do not fit close enough to the machine for collection.

Impressed.......
Highly impressed with this spiralizer. Had intended to buy an electric one but they all seemed to have poor reviews, so after a lot of research I chose this one by Brieftons. Close call whether to chose the horizontal version or the vertical, but finally decided on this version, and have not been disappointed. Only had it for a few days so still experimenting, but so far does everything as it says it does. Big bonus is that food preparation is so much quicker !! A god buy.
