I searched for several months looking for a journal like this. I wasn’t sure if I would really like this or not, but decided to go ahead and purchase seeing as how it is not expensive. It arrived yesterday and I was so impressed. The black leather is incredibly soft and smells great. I love the charcoal grey pages and the texture is so cool I can’t stop touching it. The paper is thicker than I thought it would be – which is wonderful. I cannot wait to start journaling in the book. I also purchased one as a gift for a family member. I absolutely recommend this – you won’t be disappointed!!

I LOVE how this is made. I have had a lot of journals, sketchbooks and other artsy things over the years. This is by far the best craftsmanship I've found. The leather is lovely. The pages are heavy and handmade, stitched into the leather. The ONLY thing I could suggest is that the black on the pages not bleed off. When my hands touch a page too much I get all grey. I personally don't mind, but it is a thing. I LOVE the dark pages. They could be darker even. I love white gel pens and paints. But seriously, best book I've had the privilege to own. Great work over there.

I used this to officiate a wedding, rather than have papers this book looked much fancier and did everything I needed it to. gave it to the couple as a gift afterwards and they appreciated it. Matched a black suit rather well. The paper is definitely a more canvas like material than notebook style but I was just copying and pasting things into it, so the paper type didn't really affect my needs.

The paper is soft to the touch and holds ink well. The cover is thick enough to feel substantial but it's still flexible and doesn't get in the way. I absolutely love the look and feel of this book. I bought it to use for my notes and journal for a d&d character as it fits her theme, but I may need to have another for more general use.

Paper is great, thick and smooth at the same time.Leather is thin and soft. I personally prefer leather that is thicker. I use saddle soap immediately after I received my journal, This leather is thin and soft enough but not too much on the lasting and durability. I would be careful with leather that almost tear just applying saddle soap!

This journal is absolutely amazing. Enough space to write, draw, sketch, or even attach smaller photographs into. The pages are beautiful with the deckle edge that adds character and gravity to the tome. I have been buying at least a couple of them every time I place an order on Amazon because I don’t want to come back one day and find that they are no longer available. To keep the paper soft for writing but crisp so they don’t become brittle, I’ve been keeping them in a humidity controlled safe because of how many I purchase and living in a dry state. I don’t want to buy all of them and have them turn to dust! These pages stand up to watercolor really well and I only use a medium bent nib fountain pen to write in them (my preference) and the horizontal bleed is minimal to nonexistent, based on how I write. The bleed-through is literally nonexistent. Doesn’t matter how much pressure I use or how much paint I use, nothing goes through these pages. And, the way it looks after you’ve been handling it is amazing. Write in it for a while and the oils from your hands will condition the leather covers and lend an air of age and gravitas to it that would make you think that it came directly from years (if not centuries) ago. I’m absolutely hooked on mine and I hope to be able to get them for some time to come.

I got it as a gift for a friend. She is a huge Edgar Allen Poe fan so I burned a raven onto the cover. It worked out great. Good quality leather.

Love the color the thickness size and style of the paper on the inside.
