Works great on my Mac mini! Using a USB A to USB C adapter this drive has been heavily used in digitizing my movie collection. Works great, very fast and very compact.It’s a bit noisy when running at high speed but that’s not an issue for me.

Excellent all around writer. Good software package included from Nero. This item does a good job for watching Blu-ray and DVD movies but remember this is a multiplayer not dedicated like a device attached to your TV. Always buy the appropriate hardware for the task at hand! Works with any modern PC/laptop and OS. YOU are responsible for finding the appropriate software for function.

I’ve ripped over 100 CDs with this drive and it’s still working perfectly! it’s also very fast compared to my old Apple USB SuperDrive! It also stays very quiet for a DVD Drive!

The drive works fine, but the software they force you to use is an absolute nightmare. It forces you to install not only the disk burning program, but a control program whose only function is to try to get you to buy more software from them. Even worse, they sneak in an entirely different program that pushes pop up ads. When I contacted customer support about this they claimed that it was to "keep customers up to date on new products."Buy from someone else, the quality hardware isn't worth the annoying and bloated software that they force on you.

The drive functioned well, However, the software was confusing and did not function. I had to use alternative means to copy and retrieve files.

I use this cd/dvd player to rip all my cds onto my computer. It’s reliable and works with my updated computer. Easy to use, usb connection is great, too.

This IS compatible with MacBook Pro. This review is for MAC OS users.I originally gave this product a 1 star review and requested a refund. If that is you, HOLD ON.The player reads ALL discs. 4K/Blu Ray/DVD. HOWEVER, they will not play without external software. When you load the drive, the folder containing the MAC software is NOT included. That’s ok, however I can not give more than 3 stars when something is over $100 yet incomplete.I attempted to use VLC and MakeMKV, but the hassle was simply not worth it. If you would like to enjoy this product to the fullest, follow these steps:Go to the Apple App Store.Purchase: MacGo Blu Ray Player Pro. ($65/NOT the $50 version)Done.It plays Blu rays and DVD. NOT 4K. I still have not figured out how to get my 4k to play.For DVDs, simply click on the Disc Icon, which will bring up a folder. Drag the folder INTO the MacGo Pro player. Done. Easy peazy.Hope this keeps someone else from having a complete mental breakdown trying to figure it out the way I did.

Good drive. I have burned mix of 100+ BD-R discs including SL, DL 100GB Mdiscs and 128GB Sony discs imported from Japan with this drive and none of the disc have failed either during burning or verifiying/reading back.Also drive is extremely sturdy while being slim in design and extremely easy to use.
