TaoTronics Car Phone Holder (Black2)

This might have been good for mounting my phone to the windshield. It would have been just right for my old Jeep Cherokee. But the windshield of my Toyota Highlander is further forward than in a lot of cars, and a glass-mounted holder is too far to reach easily. I wanted to mount this on the dash, a bit lower so it was out of my view of the road and a bit closer so I could reach it easily. Unfortunately the suction cup did not stick to the dashboard plastic surface, even with the additional adhesive.I returned this mount and replaced it with  TaoTronics Car Phone Mount with Convenient One-handed Operation (Huge Reach, 180 Degree Rotatable Arm, Super Sticky and Washable Suction Cup For More Versatility) . This alternate holder is also glass-mounted, but it has a much longer arm, so I can reach the mounted device without a stretch, and it is positioned lower, so it obscures less of my field of view.The manufacturer of this first mount was very responsive to my first review. An agent suggested ways to make the suction cup adhere to the dash, but I had tried them and returned the mount by that time. Then the agent suggested the new mount that I replaced it with, and I like the new mount much better.

Most well-thought-out, well-built mount for under $15, hands down! They really took every possibility into account when designing this. Here's some of my favorite highlights- Use of the ratchet/teeth side walls: even though solely spring loaded mounts are simpler and more convenient, they all eventually weaken and your phone started to slip.- Use of screws: again, other mounts that don't Let you screw down the boom arm eventually wear down and your perfectly positioned phone ends up facing the ground as soon as you hit a bump in the road.- Optional bottom support: my LG V10 is a dinasour and even the the side walls offer enough support, I like having that extra piece of mind. Also, there's a slot that let's you access your phone's charging port.And for anyone that's wondering, I have a Popsocket on my phone and it still works!

This is literally the best car phone holder I have ever used. I already bought from this company a long time ago and now buying another set. I live in South East Asia so the weather here is rather hot and the previous set I own remains stable and sticky despite our weather. The problem is probably because it is too sticky? I brought it to car wash and the fella broke it 😓. Aside from that, this is perfect, sturdy and handsome. Highly recommended to everyone.

I had originally rated this item a 4 star but hat to revise it to a 1 because the suction cup only worked the 1st time I used it. Went to switch vehicles and it won't suction down. Item is being returned.Update:Based on my 1 star review TaoTronics sent me another one free of charge. That one is better and does cinch down better than the 1st one. I appreciated the response from TaoTronics and have revised my review back to a 4.

Great item. Well made, very strong adhesive. Wide range of adjustability and adjustments lock in place securely. Suction cup works great on dash and windshield. Fits iPhone 6 with slim otter box and cell phone wallet attached. I have had many of these types of cell holders and this is by far the best I've ever used.

Amended review: Didn't work for me. The suction cup wouldn't even adhere to the sticky pad. Drillled a hole and used a bolt to mount it on next to my gear shifter.However the rest of the product is well built. It does allow for just about any position you'll need to view. I'm increasing the rating from 1 star to 3 starts based on there customer service reaching out to me. I was very surprised and pleased that one of their reps took the time to handle the issue.

This works great! I put this on my dash and it hasn't budged even after the hot summer and the cold winter it is still just in place as it was when I put it on there. I love that it moves around easily, but doesn't fall down.

Customer service is amazing, they worked really well with me and responded really fast! It didnt stick much to my dash it kept falling but they gave me a good tip and also sent me another one as a replacement! My dash is a little weird anyways so I just ended up super gluing it to it. Works better then ever, love it.
