A great expansion that adds new dimensions to Boss Monster
Crash Landing is a fantastic expansion to Boss Monster, adding new bosses, heroes, spells rooms . . . and a totally new treasure type, the Explorer. Symbolized by a ray gun, the Explorers are sci-fi themed heroes after the alien bosses (and treasure!) scattered over the in-game world of Arcadia after, you guessed it, a whole bunch of alien spacecraft crash landed. It also expands the game rules to allow for five- and six-player games, which I'd like to try out sometime. As a bonus, if you already have the Implements of Destruction expansion, now you have heroes to use all of those Explorer items. My only gripe about Crash Landing is that, playing with a combined Boss Monster + Boss Monster 2 deck with the other expansions, there aren't a whole lot of Explorer heroes or rooms comparatively. But what's here is fantastic. I love how these expansions interact with each other. Snag this ASAP.

Awesome edition to your Boss Monster collection.
These 45 cards contain a little of everything (Boss, Room, Spells, etc.) It adds a new Treasure, and some pretty cool Heroes/Epic Heroes. It is advertised as being able to expand your game from 2-4 players to 5-6 players, and it does that by suggesting that you play the game with Unlimited Lives (meaning that the game doesn't end when someone has five wounds; instead, they must have the most souls minus their wounds to win.) It changes up the gameplay by not letting Heroes sit in town if opponents are tied in Treasure types. It also adds some pretty cool Alien Artifact rooms, each with their own advantages. All and all, for only a few bucks, this is definitely worth adding to you collection.

Great expansion to an already super-fun game! Mild defect though--
The Crash Landing expansion got here quickly and in perfect shape; I'm happy it did because Boss Monster's boxes are so cool/retro I kept them for display value alone once I bought the cardboard collector's box! The expansion is great, adds a new treasure type, bosses, and heroes, and has the same smell of nostalgia as the core game with plenty of scattered references and (obviously) the art style. With a usual friend group of 5, the best part of this expansion was being able to add a 5/6th player. As a game alone, I rate this 5/5.However, there was a slight defect that didn't matter a whole lot to me but might to the average consumer: about half of the room cards in my expansion had the green backs of "Boss" cards instead of the grey back saying "Room." I don't mind because I always sleeve my card games, but it would ruin the game for obvious reasons left unsleeved.Assuming your copy doesn't come out wonky like mine, I definitely recommend this game.

Expansion only if needed
If you have played Boss Monster before then this will expand your dungeon thinking and baiting to kill adventures for their souls.Me and friends have played Boss monster before at conventions and home. The expansion is only needed if you want to do more or change it from your regular play and add few more players. There are only few changes to the game, just read the rules.

It's game over, man...GAME OVER!!!
My students are in constant competition to be the one to get all the Alien Explorer heroes. A good, creative expansion, that just expands on the basic game, without creating a new rule or step. And some classic references.

Great expansion pack
This expansion has really bulked up our Boss Monster decks and it's great to be able to play with a 5th and 6th player. Package arrived in perfect condition and in good time too.

Its a good expansion, it expands the game to more players. Great theme in line with the rest of the game but with a sci-fi flair.

Lots of misprints, still fun
The card game is a lot of fun, however the cards were misprinted and I never opened them until I finally got six people together to play. The room cards were misprinted on the boss cards. A massive let down, we still got past it and enjoyed ourselves. Just make sure you review the cards when you get them.
