I've been using cheap, plastic off-brand levels my entire life. I recently upgraded my entire power tool set to DeWalt and suddenly realized that some of the other smaller tools needed an upgrade as well. This is far better than what I've been using. It is very solid on both sides, has a strong magnet on one side, an adjustable pitch to the diagonal level, and the metal sides have just enough of an etching on them to provide a little grip so it doesn't slide off the surface you're working on.
