Pica 30403 Marker Kit and Lead Case 4030

I recently got more serious about my woodworking craft, and found that I needed a pencil with a super sharp tip, a dense lead that was easy enough to see but also easy to remove, a comfortable grip, and a fast and convenient way to stow it on my person while I'm working. This pencil does just that! This product is less about drawing writing and more about marking materials. I'm very happy with its performance and ease of use. The built in sharpener is a huge plus and the stowing clip ensures that I always know where my pencil is when I need it. The product is well crafted, comfortable to hold, and very easy to use. Very happy with this find!

Good value for your money. This work pencil comes with plenty of refills. The size is ideal, I personally put it on my safety vest with no issues. The pen quality is good you can write on just about anything. The tip comes out sharp to start with but you can sharpen it making it super functional.

I’ve been using plain old carpenters pencils for years, and always misplacing them. And of course always at the worst time you’ve got to pull out a knife and put a new point on it. Finally decided to see what all the fuss was about and bought the Pica pencil. It turns out it was a great solution. The bright color is easy to see if you lay it down, but why lay it down when the holder slips right in your pocket. Don’t have a pocket? No problem the belt clip keeps it secure. Point getting worn? The sharpener is right on the holder. All this to say yeah it’s just a pencil, but it’s one purchase you won’t regret!

I use mechanical pencils for drawing clean crisp lines in my wood working projects especially for laying our joinery. That’s a fine .7mm or .9mm lead. Quite small for general use. I saw this Pica pencil being used by a favorite You Tube woodworking personality. He used it for marking various parts and making specific notes for keeping everything straight in the middle of projects. It has a nice lead with an on board sharpening device for the 2.8MM leads. Here’s a nice ‘value add’ ion this product, is that there are other lead colors such as white and red. If you’ve ever used a pencil to mark up walnut or ipe or other dark woods, you’ll be blown away at how nice, and much easier to read, it is to do your layout with a white or red colored led on dark woods. The markings left on the wood are easily removed when sanding before finishing. If you need or want an upgrade in your wood working projects, I recommend this product.

Nice pencil mechanical i'll see when I start scribing my log cabin logs for now its okay, pencil hardness is right on makes a good line, so far lead hasn't snapped easily which I like

I bought the Pica 30403 Marker Kit again after the last one was completely destroyed in a fire, and it’s just as reliable as ever. The Pica‑Dry pencil feels rugged and has a built-in sharpener right in the cap, and the 2.8 mm graphite leads mark clearly on almost any surface.

Easily best construction pencil I have ever used. I thought the graphite would break easy and wouldn't be good on the job site but I was wrong. It stays nice and sharp and one of the refills lasts forever. it marks wet, dusty, dirty, whatever condition with nice and solid lines. Also love the fact the end is made super thin to mark holes easier and more precise.
