Elk Ridge ER-028 Fillet Knife 12.25 Overall

What a great fillet knife! Mine came sharp right out of the box. I still ran it across a strop a few times though to give it a great clean razor sharp edge. Great quality and craftsmanship on this knife for the money! I have several knives from Elk Ridge and a few I have had now for a few years. All have held up well and are easy to sharpen. I'm so excited about this fillet knife. BRING ON THE FISH!!

It is a really good looking, sharp, solid knife. The price is really good, and I believe I'll be using this one for a while. Comes really sharp out of the box, materials feel good. Can't give it 5 stars just because I don't see anything completely exceptional about it, but I would highly recommend it for a new addition to your kitchen or your hunting equipment.

This knife was surprisingly sharp and held a very sharp edge while butchering my elk. Great price and a very good product.Update: I purchased another one. It is just as sharp as the first. This one goes to my son so he can help with the butchering.

I am not sure what all of the complaining about the pins sticking out are about. For the price, I could not have purchased a better knife. The metal pins do stick out a little bit, but it does not affect the function of the knife and are barely noticeable. A little bit of sandpaper would fix this quickly if you have a problem with them. The blade is factory sharp & flexible. I am very happy with this purchase.

Can you really complain about an $8 knife? I'm not a knife snob, otherwise I wouldn't be buying an $8 knife, but I do appreciate a good quality knife, all mine are mid-grade Henckels. Even given it's price, I'm still satisfied with this knife. I'm not convinced that it holds its edge too well but I have a Chef's Choice 151 and a couple passes has it razor sharp again. I would pay $25-30 for this knife, it could be a little heavier.

I bought this for one purpose only, to trim out hog meat and not worry about hurting an expensive knife. It does the job well and seems to be very sturdy. I had to sharpen it a little first thing out of the box but it holds its edge well. Can't beat the performance for the price. Good knife

The picture doesn't show the knife very well. The handle is comfortable, the blade is SHARP and the construction is great. I purchased 6 of them for gifts and every single one is in the same condition. Very happy with the knife

I bought this, even after reading a lot of the reviews. Many said it was crap, some said it was good. I carried it on my belt for 20 minutes, on a car ride, made sure it was sitting perdy.... Got out, the last 2 inches had a SOLID 30º bend in it. Creased the metal. I literally just grabbed this out of my mailbox a half hour before. Glad that it was cheap, not going to buy Elk Ridge again. Soft steel..... It could probably be fixed (hardened with a bit of work, but wow.) Needs a new edge, factory edge was sub-part.

Este cuchillo para filetear es el mejor que he encontrado en años, es elegante con su mango de madera pero lo mejor es el largo de su hoja y el balance del cuchillo que permite filetear cualquier tipo de carne con suma facilidad lo mismo que limpiar de grasa y ligamentos etc las carnes. Por su precio me compré tres de una vez. Muy recomendable, excelente calidad en los materiales y acabados y un super filo.
