Perfect Fit! But …
UPDATE July 9, 2024(About a month after installing it)Today, the “Gas Cap” warning appeared. I didn’t even know such warning existed on my 2006 RAM1500. I removed it and reinstalled it. It didn’t help. I know that I could’ve disconnected the battery for 20 min and then tried again, but since I had saved the original gas cap, I reinstalled it. Then disconnected the battery. So I’ll have to wait and see what happens, and if I get another warning like this I’ll just bite the bullet and order a Mopar replacement. I’m returning this one.======* Original reviewAfter 200+ thousand miles, the original fuel cap on my 2006 RAM1500 Hemi was overdue to be replaced. This replacement cap is a direct fit, inexpensive, and looks fantastic. To swap it, all you have to do is un-clip the retainer from the gas cap hinge, and press in the new one. It’s a tight fit, so you may have to use a blade to carefully cut the original clip. I used a pair or automotive retainer removal pliers. If your check-engine light is on, disconnect the negative battery cable (never the positive) with a 10mm wrench, while you remove the old cap and install the new one. This will reset the computer. If the check-engine comes back on after a few days, any mechanic with a scanner will tell you the codes or you can do it yourself (there are plenty of videos on how to do this).BTW, this is also an excellent opportunity to replace the old (and probably corroded) battery terminals, which is super easy to do.Thank you for reading, and good luck with your project! 😊👍🏻

No more check engine light....
Kept getting check engine light with evaporative code on 2015 honda fit. After gas cap change with this one, no more. Seems pretty tight as original gas cap. Great quality let's see how long it will last.

Gas cap works fine on 2015 Civic
The gas cap work just fine but I kind of wish the strap was just a bit longer. It is long enough, but none too long. Note that it does not come with the piece that the end of strap attaches to that connects it to the car. If you take the old one off carefully enough you can reuse it, if you damage it you will need to order another.

High-Quality Gas Cap Worth Every Penny!
I’m blown away by the quality of this gas cap. As soon as I installed it and reset the codes, my engine light turned off immediately and stayed off. Who would’ve thought that a simple gas cap could be the root of the problem causing the engine light warning? It completely solved the issue and saved me from further stress. The construction feels sturdy, and it’s clear this is a well-made product. It’s so reliable that I’ve decided to include it in my annual replacement routine to ensure my vehicle remains in top shape. Absolutely worth the money!
