Why don't the lids snap shut? Doesn't seem right for proofing pizza dough?

They work fine for me. I think they just don't need to be tight fitting to do what they need to do. Perhaps if they were full of dough the gases from fermentation might pop a tightly sealed lid.

What are the dimensions of the lid?

16" x 11 3/4 " are the inside dimensions and 17 1/4" x 13 1/8 " are the outside dimensions.

Can I put them in the oven at 100 f for proofing?

They are pretty thick so probably so, but I have never tried it

Is this dishwasher safe?

I would not put in the dishwasher, mainly because of it's size. The label says that it is not dishwasher safe, however, it is made of a very sturdy plastic and is very easy to clean. If you are using it as a pizza dough proofer, it barely gets dirty. Though expensive, it is worth the money as it does exactly what it is supposed to do.
