Great lock with o-ring included to improve weather resistant installation. Worked well once I was able to adapt to my existing CH751 lock cam.This lock is an Illinois lock cam which isn't directly compatible with ace or regular style locks. Regular ACE cam locks have an approx 3/8" square cam cut-out secured with a screw. This has a small rectangular shaft with nylon lock nut and washer. Also the provided cams are basic straight cams that didn't work for my RV external storage compartments. Easiest fit is to order the correct lock length, then use existing cams adapted to the new lock.The picture shows the cam adapters I was able to find online outside of Amazon, the barrel lock shaft goes through the enter hole, the adapter fits into the square cam. The only issue was I had to file the edges of the cam adapter to fit inside my existing latches. Once I made the change the locks worked very well for my camper storage compartments.All barrel locks I could find have this same type of cam, so the only real option is to buy these or similar locks and the appropriate Illinois type latches. The cam adapter was the easiest option but still took a little work for final assembly.Also - the only option for keying these locks alike are those that are sold together as a set. In my case I had 6 locks 1-1/8" long, and 1 lock 5/8" long which I wanted to replace with all the same key. I ordered a set of 5 - 1 1/8" locks and a set of 2 - 5/8" locks. Each set was keyed separately. I then searched online for some barrel type locksmithing videos to drill the plug, open the lock, then rekey so I had all the same locks.I would give it 5 stars if it had the option to order multiple sets of locks to the same key, and if the lock provided a cam adapter set to adapt to more standard ace style locks. However, in the end a good option for a much more secure lock to the standard CH751 locks found on most campers and RVs.

The first hour of installation was hell. It seemed straightforward so I wasn’t worried about the lack of instructions yet I couldn’t get the key out once put together. I readjusted it countless ways. Then I watched the installation video and it offered no insight as to my problem. This was my first time installing RV locks so I sat and filled with the lock until it dawned on me that whoever assembled the locking mechanism had put every single one on upside down. I flipped it over and bang! Had lock installed correctly in less then five minutes. I like the unique keys. Locks appear to be good quality. No issue with stripping like others mentioned, but I almost returned them because I couldn’t get the key out. I’m not the only one either. Others complained about this issue and didn’t seem to have solved the problem. All the frustration and wasted time could have been avoided with a little quality control so I was really torn between 2-3 stars.Also why are there soooo many keys? They are all keyed the same, so why not just include two keys for the whole box? Now I have a small box of extra keys because I only need a couple.

I am generally a fan of this company and I have their keyless entry door locks for my travel trailer - which I really like. Unfortunately, these locks are just not that impressive and may or may not fit your rig well.The unique keys are a benefit. I never understood why compartment locks are not uniquely keyed.Beyond that, I don't see why you would want these locks for though.Also, be careful as the 5 pack may fit a couple of your doors, but not all of them as was my experience.Again, I recommend the keyless door locks by Latch It, and I have had great customer service from this company, but I can't give the thumbs up to this product.

Purchased a package of five. Two work great. The key will not fit into the hole or release from the hole when locking on the other three. Which means a package of two would have been a better deal for me. And can not return these three because it was a pain to simply reinstall the old compartment locks when the three broken ones didn’t work so refuse to take off the two that do work just to return the whole set. Also know that they will not all be “keyed alike” if we try to replace just the broken ones. Also put a scratch in the paint of my compartment door when trying to remove the lock that didn’t work. Oh yes, they also include no instructions. They tell you to go to the website to watch a YouTube video filmed at too great of a distance or weird angle to really see what the person is doing. I found a better video on my own, but I want to see step by step printer instructions (or at least read them on the internet).

Overall they are a good lock. The reason I bought them was because I don't like the fact that everyone that has owned an RV probably has a key for my compartments. They fit well and operate smoothly. They are every bit as good as the original 751s that I replaced. The reason I did not give them 5 stars was for 2 reasons. (1) Two of the locks came rotated 45 degrees and locked there. The way the key is designed, you cannot put the key in if it is not fully locked or fully open. I was able hold the latch in a vice and put pressure rotating the housing and with a small screw driver push on the tumblers until they were all released and it rotated to the correct open/closed location and I could use the key. It took a little time to figure that out and I thought I was going to have to send them back. (2) One of the keys the thumb handle is loose from the barrel. I don't know if it wasn't crimped tight enough or the plastic handle is broken inside the barrel, but having 10 keys, it should not be a problem as long as the others don't loosen up over time.

the product was ok but wasnt the right size. When i come to return it was costing just as much as the item was worth, they want ed me to pay for shipping, just because it had to go back to the states,so i will have nothing to do with this particular item or sellers again.

Good locks that are very simple to install. The ten pack cone all Keyes alone and there are two keys per lock. So you get twenty kya in total. Hilarious. The locking tab is a little longer than the ones I replaced. there is one spot in the door frame with a screw right where the tab need to go but since it is a bit longer it interferes. Fits very tight, so I may sand a bit off to make it fit better. No big drama.

Would have given a 5 star except out of the box of 10 latches issue was 7 out of the 10 I had to remove stopper plate and flip it to get the key to be removed in both lock and unlock position. Took more time checking and correcting than replacing. Would recommend as a replacement rv latch.

Good set of locks, but disappointed that one of them has stopped working with the key. Can’t lock it!! These are a keyed alike set, none of the keys can operate this lock now after 2 weeks installed.
