This does exactly what it is supposed to do, it's also really heavy so I don't feel like I am going to slip. The only thing I don't like is that when you get to the bottom it doesn't quite cut all the way through and you sort of break the slices off. First, one I have owned so I don't know if that is normal. I am happy enough not to be shopping for a replacement.

Used daily, this slicer is great. It is very robust and slices easily. I have been through several other brands and they all seem to break as they are plastic. This full metal construction should last for a good long while.
