Disappointed that the item does not look like what is pictured. The ends are rough and flat and needed hand sanding to remove the sharp edges. Package length only 13" as opposed to stated 17.7" Diameter is thicker than pictured. Will be functional... just doesn't look like the handcrafting I was expecting.

This is perfect! I had ordered a belan from Indian Tiffin Limited and it was the worst quality item I have ever bought on Amazon. It was double the price of this and terrible quality. This is exactly as a belan should be. I can make pita and chapatis with ease. Thank you very much Big Indian Store! I will be back for more orders.

This appears to be hand crafted and came wrapped in an Indian newspaper as packaging. How cool is that? I love the fact that this is an individual piece of art not a piece of plastic pumped out of an extruder. What a great deal and a perfect addition to my kitchen.

Just as described and it arrived very quickly considering it was shipped from India. The wood is well machined and smooth. I'm happy with the quality and it was just what I was looking for. Will be well-used with all my Indian bread recipes!

Its came after I forgot. But I use regularly and works very good.

This rolling pin is for advanced roti rolling. Its design allows for easy correction of uneven dough by experienced chefs. In a beginners hands, it instantly leads to uneven dough. Be warned. For those raised making rotis, this is better than an electric appliance.
